Excellent, so far. Two of my grandchildren have been in Davidson since 6th grade. This is truly a magnet school. It will challenge your child's ability and prepare them for college, if they are up for the challenge.

A 10 out of 10 experience academically and socially for my daughters who both attended Davidson. Teachers are very involved and responsive to parents and to students. The counselors have been awesome in directing my oldest daughter in applying for college and scholarships. The student body is extremely competitive and I believe that lends to a fire in students to do their best and it encourages them to be better and as a parent I think it's healthy to have that kind of energy around your aspiring student.

Davidson Fine Arts is a wonderful school. It is open to students living in Richmond county by audition. Students must have 80% average in all classes to be eligible to apply. My daughter attended DFA 6th-12th and loved it!This school is academically challenging. AP courses are required in high school and lots of seniors are duel enrolled. Most students choose to pursue fine arts and specialize in some type of music, dance, theater, writing or art. The principal is very involved in all aspects of the school and the teachers are very supportive and involved as well. In spite of being supportive, academic teachers do not alter test schedules during performance weeks. Students must be capible of using their time wisely and managing stress. DFA has a competitive environment and enjoys success in every area. Good grades and artistic excellence are status symbols. There is a sense of family at DFA. Students are accepting of one another, staff is kind and encouraging and parents are welcome. The PTO is active and parent volunteers are in evidence at all events. While the focus of DFA extracurriculars are the fine arts, they do offer a few sports. DFA has a golf team, a swim team and a tennis tennis team. Students may also participate with the augusta rowing club. I cannot recommend this school highly enough.

Davidson is one of the top schools in the state. Fine arts is a major concentration, and it's incredibly challenging. The work load is much more than a normal public school, and these kids come out with great independence and social responsibility. I'll never let my kid go anywhere else for the next five years.

My son attended this school from middle school through high school. One of the top schools in the nation. He had no problems getting admission to several top dance schools for his college studies.

At the auditions I was so nervous! I was shaking, there were butterfly's in my stomach and I was sweating! When I got to the audition room all of my nerves went away! They made us all feel so welcome and they didn't pressure us or anything. Right now it is June 3,2015 I start going there on august sixth! I am so excited! Over all I think davidson fine arts is the best school in America!PS- the principle is very nice and supportive! If you are having any doubts about davidson don't it is a wonderful place!

I attended DFA for only one year but I love and cherish every moment I was there. It was like a big family and the atmosphere of respect and love for the arts is so positive and beneficial for learning. The student population embraces students who are different and creative and hone on those skills to make them even better. The teachers are wonderful and everything is wonderful and this school is defiantly 5 out of 5! I love DFA!!!!

I'm currently a student at this school and i love it, its definately not rated 10 out of 10 for nothing. It's not just the teachers who make up this wonderful school its the students, we work harder than they do (at times). Overall I love my school and I'm glad to be apart of it!!!!!!!!! Go DFA!!!!!!!!!!
