This school only reaches out to parents and the community when an outside agency or policy forces them too (like a NEASC Review or losing a lawsuit). Them they go back to SOP of ignoring everyone who isnt friends with the superintendent.A lot of good teachers have left in the past two years, and the teachers working there are struggling.

The school is an amazing new facility with over a dozen hands-on training programs that ensure when your child graduates they can begin a career in one of those fields if they are not college-bound. Good honors program but not enough AP classes. Also, not enough academic clubs- (but the school loves their sports). Seriously, how many kids are continuing sports after HS? Maybe a little less attention is owed here.Family engagement outside of sports is nearly non-existent and too many parents in the area are happy to just let their kids float through the system (but a few bored housewives spend their energy getting mouthy about banning books instead). There also doesn't seem to be enough incentive for teachers to advise clubs and one woman seems to be taking on a bulk of them which means she is unable to support any of them properly. The teachers genuinely care about the kids, but they cannot make them (or their parents) care about their education. I guess the real effort needs to be put in at the lower levels of the district to get kids owning their education paths.Overall, we feel blessed to have the school.

The administration uses punishment as it's go-to tactic to get students to "behave" and marginalized students are punished way more often than the majority students. The school fails to help all students to reach their full potential, and though the building is beautiful, it is understaffed with a lot of teacher "churn." The Titanic was also beautiful, and without competent leadership it still sunk,

Great local public school. The city has expanded it so much it almost looks like a college campus.

My family has always had quality experiences with the teachers and the administration at Attleboro High School.

The school system is terrible because of the lack of staff, resources, and supplies. I've just heard recent news that over 20 elementary and 60 high school teachers will be laid-off in 2016.

I hate the way it us set up, the guidance counselors don't care about their students. And all the school cares about is their athletics. Don't get me wrong they must care somewhere deep down but until it shows, it sucks.

AHS was great. I just recently graduated, and can say that I had a great experience over the four years. I was engaged in sports, extracurricular activities, and an Honors student. Most of the teachers I had were good at what they did, and went above and beyond. However, like all schools, there are a few teachers that aren't so great. Also, AHS has steadily become one of the best schools in the state (test score wise), a commendable achievement, given the limited resources. The school has several fields of study, all of which are pretty rigorous. Lastly, a few suggestions and comments. Being outgoing and friendly is important in any environment, AHS included; that was one of the factors of my own success, in my opinion. On the same note, I believe that those who write scathing reviews and hate Attleboro are those who are the disruptive and uninvolved students and parents who do not engage themselves in the education process. Finally, the school could definitely do with a cosmetic do-over, AC, and to get rid of a few of the dead-weight teachers. But in all, it would be foolish to give less than 5 stars for the educational experience. Thank you. Blue PRIDE
