School is extremely old and has had talk for years to close it down. Water always tests as undrinkable. Administration is disorganized and lets bullying happen behind the scene. Counselors are ineffective and unhelpful. Parents in town are substitute teachers and know student records. Children’s private info is shared throughout town. Wish we would’ve known the school system was woke we would have never moved to this district.

In my time here, the roof caved in, the septic broke, and the school was infested with hornets. Most of the staff acted like they didn’t want to be here, and they forced their views down your throat. Overall, it is not a good school.

Obviously can only share my experiences, My kids started out well in the Grade School, once they hit middle school, they were treated like grade schoolers, The learning is good but either your in the accelerated class or your middle level learner is stuck in the class with the special needs kids - They call it Mainstreaming- Nothing against them, but that class room is slow, disruptive, inconsistent behavior policies, and doesn't really provide a benefit to the special needs or non special needs students. Covid killed the teachers momentum - during the pandemic they railroaded the administration and made excuses to not open the district. Many teachers were heard outside of class stating they wish they never had to go back. Sad. The SEL learning here is geared more to the Social Media perception of what kids need to be and not how kids are to deal with what they really are like. While I do not need the resources of the special education department, judging by the amount of aides they have, It seems as this is the districts main focus. Safety is basically inconsistent, during covid, windows and doors open, no covid, doors and windows locked. Like any school it ebbs and flows with what is in the news. School shooting somewhere in the world one day, State Police at the schools the next day, but not after that. Its all optics. Family engagement has disappeared as the PTA is basically defunct. The only activities are Teacher Appreciation days. They used to have fund drives, family picnics, Family directories, all sorts of great things.....not anymore. This is a rapidly dying district with outdated resources and buildings.

This is an excellent school with well-educated, compassionate, dedicated teachers. I cannot say enough about the quality of education my children have received here.

This school has somewhat of a good education. Including the fact that our scores are good for the PARCC. I feel that a lot of students are ignored. They "offer" help here, but it's not the help everybody thinks. The paste in learning goes too fast and many students fall behind. Some teachers are good listeners and are considerate, but there are a list of teachers who are not. There have been many scenarios that have happened at this school. What I definitely don't like is that when we have a problem, the adults are against it. The school claims we can state our problems, but we really can't. If there are any issues with students, the school will blow it out of proportion. The students opinions don't matter. We are basically forced to deal with it. If you want to change anything, it won't do anything. It's only going to make more strict. In fact, other students have witnessed some of the teachers mean behavior to some students. What I hear from many, a lot of the graduates of this school are glad to be gone.
