My son attended this school in first grade. He was a new student to the district and he was welcomed with open arms. The principal takes initiative to learn all of the students names, which is very sweet. He excelled in the areas of math (e.g., he was interested in learning about simple multiplication and was able to add and subtract large numbers), reading (began school reading at pre-reading level and ended school reading at a beginner 3rd grade level), spelling and writing. They have a fantastic after school program called Children In Motion. They have a wonderful PTA who put on various events throughout the year. He took a total of 3 field trips throughout the year. I could tell that he thoroughly enjoyed his education and from a parent and academic perspective he grew exponentially!

My son attended another school in the district for about four years and struggled academically. I watched his confidence dwindle and anxiety rise. This effected his peer relationships. We were resistant to change because we wanted to teach him preserverance but finally decided a fresh start was probably Best. We were blessed with a transfer to Branch. It was the BEST thing that could have happened! He has made a complete turn around! Confidence has sky rocketed! We saw immediate changes in his academics, he is a happy go lucky kid again! Branch focuses heavily on student relationships. Teaching the children how to behave toward one another with routine assemblies about bullying and they give the children Important tools. All this effort pays off! The atmosphere at the school is warm, the children are happy and there is a sense of pride and community from the teachers, staff and students that is amazing. If you are moving to the area and this is the school your child is designated consider yourself VERY fortunate! You will LOVE it here and more importantly so will your child!

Second child attending. First is graduated from U.C. and went to Branch. Excellent preparation for middle school. First child's cohort all high achievers, attended major universities. Am convinced this was due to foundation established at Branch and the high expectations of the staff and parents. Very desirable place to work, so teachers are the best. Very personal experience since less than 300 kids over seven grades (K-6). Very personalized approach to gaging student progress. All the teachers know each student by name. Many high contributing households, believe school's needs are met with enthusiasm.
