Our experience has been wonderful. However, as a parent it is my responsibility to advocate for my child when need be. I cannot just drop her off at school and expect that all of her scholastic needs will be met. This is definitely a group effort.

We moved to this area based on the reviews here. Our child has an iep and the superintendent/ principal/ iep administrator has no interest in our son's needs, only his school budget. Our autistic son regressed so much here from the lack of attention. They wanted to move him to the pre-k class because they did not want to deal with his autistic behavior. Only when we threatened getting a lawyer because it was obvious discrimination did they keep him in his kindergarten class. BUT they allowed him to go to his break area when he wanted a break. They have him toys to play with. So much for education.

My daughter started at Hazel Fischer last year in second grade, and we could not be happier with this school. She has improved in so many areas so quickly and smoothly it was like over night , and the most important thing I noticed is she is enjoying every day she goes to school. The school treats every child with respect, compassion and kindness which is so good for there emotional, physical and spiritual well being which in the long run is more important because you can get as smart as you want but with out these other things it means nothing . I would recommend this school to anyone who wants there child to get a good education and have there child be treated like they are the only one at school:)

My Granddaughter is now in 3rd grade at Hazel Fischer and is getting a great, well rounded education. She has loved every one of her teachers and principals. We love to come to as many of her school programs and activities as possible.(We live 3 hours away). She is always so proud to show off her school, keep up the great work!

My child is in the third grade at this school and loves her teacher and looks forward to going to school everyday. I think this says a lot about the quality of the people who work at this school. The new changes to the library make it a fun place to go and there is a good selection of books. The pricipal takes an active role in knowing the students and is reported to me by my child to be funny. Using i-pads, going to the computer lab, going to morning sing and doing art are some of the favorite activities that I hear about from my child. Keep up the great work Hazel Fischer.

As a child who attended in the 80's: This is a great school for those of us who are rich, white and "god" fearing. If you think out side of the box, avoid bringing your children here - they may end up scared for life.

I went to Hazel Fischer (back in the day!) it was a great school then and still is. I have had 3 children graduate from there and have a 4th in 2nd grade. No complaints!

Watching my grandchildren grow and learn at Hazel Fischer, I am so impressed with the friendly and caring teachers. The principal is is hands on with the children's programs, and the best with parents. Small town, small school, small classes, better learning!
