If you have a child who needs an IEP or a 504 plan, if your child is coming into the district with these plans already in place RUN!!! Don’t expect to receive a free public education or even be serviced. They don’t even know how to properly test your child. Idaho’s department of education is aware and still allows this to go on because Marsh Valley knows how to fabricate and conveniently lose non existing paperwork. Absolutely zero accountability and it shows!!! If your child is serviced…All kids with disabilities are thrown into one classroom doing the same intellectually disabled work to the most extreme deficits. Least restrictive environment does NOT exist in this school and your children with disabilities will Not be educated or challenged but if they are to stay in general population classes they will NOT receive any help to succeed. My child was required to meet extra requirements, was punished for having disabilities and was not given credit from utilizing job core/voc rehabilitation. Terrible Horrible!! For kids who are advanced, there are very little opportunities, and the lack of learning and teaching is shocking! One trimester my daughter didn’t do one math problem in her math class. Not one and zero tests and zero teaching or lecturing. It took my daughter an entire year to get caught up to her peers when I pulled her from Marsh Valley. I have one child remaining in the district and will pull this child when she enters high school. My kids are too brilliant for such a poor education.

Staff is very lazy, and doesn’t care for the students. People are only hired if they have the right last name. Some staff is not punished for not following the rules. No one actually cares for the education of the student they mainly only care about their paycheck and what little they have to do to get it.

There are NO TEACHERS, ONLY Coaches. If you're child is not in a sport or a long time resident, You're considered an outsider; therefore the push children to their breaking point.

I have four children that have graduated from Marsh Valley High School. They have great programs and wonderful teachers. We plan on staying in this valley until all of our children have completed their education.
