I understand that this is a public school but there are way to many issues. It is not all on the school but the district. The staff does not support the kids but protect themselves. Several support staff is not friend to parents and children.

We wanted to send our child to a public school, but also looked at local charters (especially those with an equity focus) but ultimately decided to send our child here for the Spanish Immersion program. We could not ask for a better experience. Absolutely love everything about this school - the staff, the administration, everything. Communication is great. My child LOVES LOVES LOVES school and we are simply overjoyed to have found such a great fit for him. I would ignore any test score data: it reflects socio-economics more than anything else. The teachers in this school are highly effective and I plan on sending my second child here as well. Absolutely stellar public school. So glad we chose to send our child here.

Fantastic. We moved here to send our child to the dual language program at this school. The teachers, staff, and administrators are excellent!

We love Avery’s Creek. Our daughter has thrived there for two years and I could not be more thankful for her teachers and the staff at ACES.

We love Avery's Creek. We have been at the school for two years and moved from a larger school that was great but with a very different feel. Avery's Creek is full of kind, caring teachers and individuals who want to not only develop the minds of children but their hearts as well.

There are not enough stars to rate my experience. I don't know how schools get graded on here, but all you have to do is take a tour with the principal to know this school deserves an A+ and ALL the stars. They are excelling in growth, helping students at all levels accelerate forward, and grooming children to grow into kind, compassionate, problem-solving little global leaders! I would never want to send my children anywhere else!!!

We're new to this school. Compared to a previous elementary my daughter attended in the are Avery's Creek is amazing! The staff and administration have been so understanding of my daughter's emotional needs, it's incredible! I truly feel like everyone there is very compassionate and empathetic and wants to see all of their students succeed!

We are so happy here. Our kids are learning and excited about their own and their peers accomplishments. The kids work together and are part of a community. My heart is full.

Avery's Creek is an amazing school, full of teachers and staff who truly care about each student. My family moved here from out of state two years ago and I was nervous about my son starting first grade at a new school. From the first moment Cindy in the front office took my phone call, I was impressed with the genuine attitude and overall friendly atmosphere at this school. The principal, Mrs. Montgomery, spent a lot of time with us on our tour and was so kind and informative. Both teachers that my son has had at this school (and their assistants) have been absolutely outstanding. Each of them has cared for my son and truly sought to challenge him in ways that are specific to him and his strengths and weaknesses. While he has excelled academically, I have been most impressed with the other lessons he has learned from his teachers regarding kindness and respect. Additionally, the "Leader in Me" program at this school is remarkable. Overall, I can't say enough wonderful things about the teachers, staff, and the parent community that works so hard to make this a great place for our children.

First of all the information on this school is outdated. The principal is Denise Montgomery. She is absolutely fabulous. This school has great teachers that really care. They are into their second year of the Leader in Me. You can see a huge difference when you walk into this school.

I read these reviews before sending my son to school here last year and almost did not even give the school a chance based on what I read. I would strongly encourage you to visit this school, meet the staff. The administration is amazing, the teachers are amazing, this school is filled with so much love and support. I now have a son in first grade and a daughter in kindergarten and can't say enough about Avery's Creek. My son has excelled at both social and educational goals and I'm excited to see what this year will bring.

My daughter had the best experience of her elementary career at this school! She is now in 5th grade at Koontz and is thriving! Her teachers at Avery's Creek motivated her to want to be her best in not only academics but personally! The staff and administration are extremely caring and nurturing and always put the needs of the students at the forefront of all of their decisions! You will not find a better elementary school anywhere!

This school has "misplaced" my daughter three times in 2 school years. They have an excuse for everything. In my opinion, this school is a parent's worst nightmare.

I attended this school as a kindergartener when it first opened in 1996 and the teachers and staff never did anything for me for all six years I was there. I was bullied because I came from a trailer park. My autistic son started kindergarten here last year and was immediately targeted by bullies who were determined to crush his beautiful, shining spirit. He was so excited to start school but he soon grew afraid to even get on the bus. Once again, teachers and staff did nothing, deciding instead to blame me for not 'toughening him up' for the 'real world'. I don't tolerate victim blaming, so I took him out so I could homeschool him. It's overcrowded and disorganized and they don't care about you if you're not one of the millionaires from Biltmore Park that are padding their ever-expanding wallet. Don't send your kids here unless you're rich.

My child started attending Avery's Creek in the 2012-2013 school year. He was unhappy about the move and leaving his first school behind. The staff worked very hard with him and his teachers have been more than we could hope for in their determination to help him be his best. He has gone from below reading level to above, his math scores are excellent, and he is happy there. Principal Nunez has been very good for the school. She shows interest in all the students and works very hard to help the school excel.

Once again, the bully prevails with the help of an ineffectual, disrespectful, and rude administration. The victim's family is left paralyzed from the farcical policies and nonexistent regulations of their zero tolerance bully system.

Avery's Creek is far ahead of the curve in embracing a global identity. This school is exceptional.
