I would not recommend this school unless you have an absorbent amount of wealth you are willing to use to influence and navigate your child through the school years within the system. Students can be horrible towards staff and other students; this happens everywhere but at Xavier principals/teachers do not have the support needed to address the behavior due to parents and their ability to dismiss their child's behavior and "threaten" to unroll their child and take their tuition and donation money elsewhere. I have witnessed racism, sexism and other behavior one would deem "not Christian." This is not the school for you if your child is different in any manner. Their high school sports program is built on parent coaching or other individuals that have a conflict of interest. This is troublesome on many levels. Some high school coaches continuously "poach" other athletes at other schools by promising higher level of playing time or varsity level prior to your child being ready. Overall, their unsaid motto is don't rock the boat, if you rock the boat and do not have wealth or are not a recognizable alumnus, you will become an outcast. For these reasons many of the issues that could/should be addressed are ignored or kicked down the path until more complaints are received. Their sports system is not working as intended and is evident with lack of state titles. Their conference is weak, therefore winning conference titles isn't difficult and they will hang their hat on that achievement. The academics are not bad, but if you have an average student or below average, they do not have a support system in place. Some of their teachers are not licensed nor knowledgeable on the subject they are instructing. The are too top heavy in leadership to have the funds to appropriately pay their staff to obtain qualified educators. So, if you are wealthy, child works well on their own or have a gifted athlete... you will have an okay experience. Recommend visiting all Catholic Schools and limiting your decision based on "influential" parents that are apart of the Xavier System

Academics are top notch and a wide variety of extra curricular activities are offered, too. They did an incredible job keeping kids together in person and learning on campus during covid in 2020 and 2021. Teachers are willing to stay after and help you if you have questions. They thoroughly prepare you for college and offer AP classes, too. Opportunities to learn leadership skills come up often. The teachers really care about how you're doing - in your academics but personally, too. They really help you develop your faith and just prepare you to be a successful, well-rounded person when you graduate.

Overall, a socially a negative experience but academically, a positive one. If you aren't Catholic you will be made to feel like an outsider.

I loved it. I just graduated this past year. Couldn't have asked for a better high school experience.

The school size (about 500 students) is just right to allow good college prep without being overwhelming. The school tries to instill catholic values and would be a good fit for anyone looking for a good catholic school. The choices of AP courses in the sciences is limited - AP Chemistry or AP Physics are not offered, this could be a limitation compared to other area schools. The fine arts program and athletics are good and encourage participation from all students. The academic strength is overstated, other area public schools such as Appleton North and Neenah High Schools are equally good and have a wider choice of course offerings. A religion class is required every term, this takes away from the opportunity to take other academically challenging courses - 12.5% of the students courses will be religion. The Phy. Ed. program is poor and too small to allow all to participate - a wait list exists and the school does not allow substitution from other Phy. Ed. programs. Overall, a good catholic school but if looking for academics, there are better choices in the local Public Schools, especially considering that the cost is about $9000 per year for non-parish students.
