My daughter graduated from North and I substitute taught there. Their drama department is excellent. I have high regard for this high school.

Appleton North focuses too much on unrealistic academic achievement. Need to submit your class rank to colleges? It's a shame that you attended Appleton North. If you do not have a 4.0 GPA you are already dropped to below 60% of your class rank, a 3.5 and you're under 50%. Appleton North feels like some sort of elite ivy-league prep school, and provides little help for average or below average students. The entire time I attended this school I felt inferior to my classmates; surrounded by stuck up brainy classmates. Appleton North needs to focus on a well-rounded education for all its students, not just those who are in AB Calc their Junior year. So unless you know that your children can handle these fast paced extremely high expectations, I suggest looking at another area high school.
