This school is awesome. (#1 )The teachers are friendly & helpful. The principal and assistant principal are very helpful and on site. When I registered my son for kindergarten the principal came over on his own wanting to meet me. Everyone is super friendly and when I looked at the reviews the testing scores are very high.

We have had a student in this school for every year since the 2nd year they opened. We have experience with private schools and other public schools. The staff and directors at this school are 2nd to none. They have worked hard to improve in all areas and they have an active parent group. Many volunteers help create extra after-school opportunities. I know that every school is going to have their share of bad teachers but there are very few here and many exceptional ones.

I have two children at this school and I have to say I am not impressed at all. I have no idea what all the hype is about, but it is not a good school. My children at other schools have received WAY more support, compassion and understanding than this school. I have repeatedly expressed my concerns for my son and his reading abilities and how I want him to have extra help. They keep telling me his scores are below average, but almost there. So no help will be offered. He is struggling. Talk about leaving the fallen behind. As a parent you want the best for your child and by far.....this is not it. So disappointed. I don't know how people can give the school anything better than a one star.

Just switched my son there from Hoover in Coon Rapids. We think Hoover was a much better school. My son is in special ed. I have not been impressed with communication or their knowledge of my son. He has appliances in his mouth from ortho treatments and they did not realize this until halfway through the year after I told them even though it was in his IEP info from his transfer. When I met with them for an IEP meeting I was not formally introduced. They welcomed me by asking, "You're not his mom are you?" I was referred to in third person most of the meeting. I do not care how new the school is, it is the staff that makes a school and I definitely regret my decision to switch schools.
