My daughter has special needs and is in her second year at Oak View. The team of teachers and her case manager have been amazing. She has received so much support and made a ton of progress each year. I purposely open enrolled her to this school so that she would get a better education as well as plan to enroll her at Andover High School. We are so grateful for the staff and their efforts to ensure she is continuing to learn and make progress.

This school is just terrible! I don’t recommend going here or sending your children here at all!

Easily the best middle school in the district.

Very dishonest and disappointing, I rather dislike being lied to but they do.

i Am a former student of this school and i have to say i really do not approve of it. It is extremely large, and for a new 6th grader, you can easily get lost in it. As most of the hallways looked identical to each other. The locker combinations; lets not even go there... One thing i will mention is that the bullying there is terrible. the teachers and staff did little or nothing about it, and because i went to this school for only a year, i am not who i used to be. I remember being in constant fear of being made fun of because i didn't wear the same clothes as everyone else, or i didn't do this and what not. And the teachers rather than actually help me, they would lecture me the same every time. And because of this experience, i am further more having nothing to do with going to a public school ever again. This school was very disappointing And i really think that test scores are not everything about a school. i felt i was simply a umber at oak view. And i really think they ought to changer their view of educationally challenged students.

The reading scores have dropped and math scores have yet to be posted. With that being said - the main concern with this school is that there are great teachers and there are teachers who are way past their teaching days! If you get lucky and get a great teacher - you will have an amazing year! If you are not so lucky - it will be a long year with a lot of yelling (there are many teachers who do this)! In middle school parents cannot request teachers like in elementary school. It's a scheduling system and more of a lottery than anything. This is a safe school with great principal leadership. The school is well maintained and parents are always invited to volunteer. Unfortunately, there are a few bad teachers who are ruining this schools amazing potential. The only other negative we have seen here is that there is a lot of theft. Lockers are "kick open" - literally all you have to do is kick the bottom of a "locked" locker and what's there is yours for the taking. It has gotten to the point that our child cannot even bring a hat to school without it being stolen.
