We can’t speak highly enough of Andes Central School. Our family moved from NYC to the Northern Catskills about 5 years ago. After attending two other schools in the area (one public and one private) we finally found the perfect fit for our daughter (now 3rd grade). Worth noting that it’s tiny, K-12, which can have both its advantages and disadvantages. We find it charming and very easy to navigate. Great teachers. Bottom line is that our daughter absolutely loves it! She knows everyone. There is a swimming pool next door. The kids and staff go skiing on Fridays during the winter. So many great parents and kids looking out for each other. We have an excellent relationship with the school staff and administration which are very caring and communicative. Highly recommend.

Very tight knit community and strong teachers and staff. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful small school for our child.

This school is a great school because of the teachers, you could not ask for better teachers. :)

Small school students get attention only if they don't have an IEP. As a parent I am disappointed in the old school behavior of the teachers and the lack of accountabity. Don't expect high achievement despite small class sizes.

I grew up in Andes and Love this school. It is a school where your child gets 1 on 1 support from the teachers. I graduated from Andes and I hope and pray that my daughter does as well. Great school! Great job ACS!!!
