My transferred my child to this school in hopes of seeing improvement. It was quite the opposite. My child has shown no improvement. This kids at this school are bullies. The staff is very unkind.

My son has attended the dual immersion program for 3 years and absolutely loves it. All of his teachers have been wonderful and supportive. The school has done a great job in creating a loving and warm atmosphere. The carnival was the absolute best this year! Mrs. Roh the principal has done an amazing job on our campus.

I was concerned when my son started attending this year based on the district it’s located in. Despite the student body being about 60% students of color, most of the teachers are white and EVERY SINGLE school board member is white. My son has been “taught” (mostly consisted of watching a short white washed video) about several historical figures this year, all of which were white with the exception of MLK and none were women. No mention of black history month or women’s history month. An overwhelmingly large portion of the books for homework or that are read during the school day have antiquated gender roles and are primarily white (or animal) characters. There is also a complete lack of disability representation. How can this be considered a well rounded education? There is absolutely no representation. These kids aren’t seeing or learning about people that look like them at all. When I brought my concerns up to the teacher, I was summarily dismissed and told it was all the districts doing and that my concerns would be forwarded to the principle. You can’t possibly tell me that the teachers have absolutely zero control over what they teach. The problems run from the district to the teachers themselves.

I was warned about attending the school but I decided to give it a chance. My son's first year was awful. I do not like the teaching staff or the principal. I find them to be very rude and condescending.

The teachers here are wonderful! You couldn’t ask for a better group of teachers. Unfortunately, the leadership in this school brings down the morale and the Confidence of everyone. You can’t expect your school to be a bully free if your leader is a bully herself. You cannot have a leader Who acts very pleasant in front of you as the parent, then turns around and bullies her staff. This school use to feel so warm and fun to be at. Not anymore, and that is just so sad.

My child has been bullied since 3rd grade, he is now in 5th. It was really bad last year and when we went to the principal she refused to acknowledge that it was bullying. She allowed my child to continue being made fun of, to be the butt of jokes and not to feel safe. This principal refused to do anything and the bullies got away with their actions. I am very frustrated with Glenview Elementary for not advocating for my child. For not making him feel safe.

Dual program is awesome! :) Teachers know what they are doing and address issues as well as positive behavior.

Sadly to say I dont have good ratings. I use to love this school. My child attended this school for 4 yrs but the last 2yrs have been awful. The new principal is a bully, she acts as this nice and loving person but if you say or do anything to get on her bad side it's a different story..

As a past student I have very fond memories of my childhood at Glenview. Every teacher here goes over and beyond their duties. Teaching the children a sense of community and caring towards one another. Fast forward to present day, i have had a younger brother go through Glenview and now my younger sister is in the third grade there. I have spent many years volunteering for events that are held at Glenview and am always impressed with the care put into each one. The staff always keeps the children first in mind and that is what every school should do! After all it is all about the children and giving them the best education while keeping it fun and entertaining for them. I cant wait to send my own son there for Preppy K, so that he can be apart of such a great school that my family has been apart of for many years.

Glenview Elementary is a school with amazing potential, hidden gem. The last several years have been rough, but the district has finally realized the issues were of major concern and the school needed a lot of TLC. They brought in our new Blue Ribbon principal Kelli Keller and she is fantastic! This school has such a warm feel and school spirit is on the rise. It's so exciting! We are so ready for what's to come!

We love Glenview Elementary. Our new principal, Mr. Plascencia, is fabulous. He is a fair and caring disciplinarian. He is out around campus interacting with students, teachers, and parents. We have been at Glenview with three children since 2007. We transfer our children to attend this school. We have been pleased with the time spent by our children in the classes of Mrs. Mell, Mrs. Leiken, Mrs. Burguan, Ms. Doke, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Dominguez, Mrs. Flenniken, Miss Olson, and Mrs. Bradley.

My daughter went here when she was a kinder. Not a diverse school, more towards the middle to upper class. Therefore, if you are toward the lower class and has a child that struggles, the school won't provide much support. They are more focus on test scores and how to get rid of those who are not at the level. We had to transfer her to another school in order to get the help she need. Plus, there aren't that much diversity on the staff end so expect to feel out of the water and gang up upon; if you are a different nationality.
