I transferred here from a "top-rated" public high school, and my experience has been a hundred times better at Fairmont Prep. Students are able to join various organizations and sports teams without having to pass difficult tryouts, and can genuinely dabble in new activities without already being great at them, whether that be tennis, musical theater, visual arts, etc. Academically, Fairmont offers various AP classes that you can take starting freshman year, meaning that many students end up with a lot of college credits that enable them to graduate from university early. The school also offers various advanced math classes (Calculus III, Linear Algebra, etc.) through Cal State Fullerton that grant direct college credit, as well as accelerated math classes such as the combined Algebra II + Precalculus course, which allows for upward mobility for those that may feel weak at math initially but later get better at it. But overall, what made my high school experience here amazing is the collaborative culture the campus fosters. There is without a doubt some extremely talented students at Fairmont that end up at Ivy Leagues, but teachers never treat those students any differently from others. Everyone gets the respect they each deserve.

I have been teaching at Fairmont Prep for 12 years and have loved the experience of working with motivated and intelligent students from diverse backgrounds. After teaching abroad in Vietnam, I looked for a school that would continue to provide an international-mindedness and provide a supportive environment where students could learn and excel. As a parent, my children found life-long friendships and learned at an accelerated pace at the Historic Anaheim Campus. Their headmistress knew every child and parent by name and made everyone on campus feel like family. Coming from a public school background, I had never experienced this kind of warmth from school. My son literally became upset when I came to pick him up at the end of the day, wanting to stay with his friends just a little bit longer. My daughter delighted in getting to know each of her teachers. Seeing their attachment to Fairmont motivated my family to find a way to continue sending them to Fairmont. My favorite experience of teaching at the Prep is getting to know so many students and tracking their growth into men and women of character. As students approach graduation, I hear about their unique community volunteer work, the projects they conduct in our Advanced Science and Engineering Program (ASEP), the businesses and business plans they develop in our International Business Program (IBP), and the extended essay research paper they compose in our International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Their lists of achievements and experiences dwarf what I experienced at their age. We send each cohort of graduates off to college knowing they are prepared for future success in various academic and professional fields. The journey may be difficult at times, but the investment in hard work and friendships will last a lifetime.

I have been attending Fairmont since preschool and I decided to also attend Fairmont Prep for all four years of high school. I ended up choosing to attend the Fairmont Prep because of the many opportunities that would be available for me and the many interests that I wanted to pursue. Through these different opportunities I was able to really experiment and figure out what I was passionate about. The Prep has many different programs, clubs, and organizations to explore and one that has been important on my high school journey was the monthly variety show Husky Vision. Husky Vision allowed me to meet many different people from all walks of life which has grown my views and perspectives. I would recommend other students to enroll at the Prep because it is such a welcoming community that allows you to thrive and grow not only as a student but also as a person.

I have been with fairmont for 12 years now (started preschool-highschool). Everyone says that the difference between public schools and private schools is that the teachers care more about you learning the material and that you'll learn better, which is true. However I only just realized that I have never felt scared at school. My friends come from public schools and they have told me that they needed to be careful around some kids and they have told me some scary public school stories. I only now realize that I feel completely safe at school. Walking around strangers scare me but as soon as I get into my school, I get a mindset that I am completely safe. Fairmont is a very academic school and they have a lot of opportunities and programs that you can take depending on your liking. However, I think the best think about fairmont is the safety because I have never had to worry once.

I have been at Fairmont for 8 years now and it is incredible how fast time past at Fairmont. This might be due to the friendly community and all the fun activities around the school. At first, I choose to go to Fairmont because of all the great things I heard about the school and everything met my expectations. Over the years, ASB and soccer are by far my favorite. ASB taught me a lot about leadership, friendship, and effective communication while soccer taught me a lot about friendship, teamwork, and passion and love for the sport. If you have not already enrolled at the Prep, I recommend you do so because we will welcome you with open arms and you will not regret it.

I have been a student at Fairmont since Preschool, summing up my time here at 15 years. I chose to come to the Prep as I hoped to continue my education at a school I knew would challenge me, but also help pave my path to success. The Advanced Science and Engineering Program, as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma program, did just that. My single favorite part of the Prep is the faculty. The teachers, counselors, and other administrators do their very best to support you and make sure you perform to the best of your ability. I strongly recommend Fairmont Preparatory Academy for students that want academic finesse alongside fruitful opportunities.

I have been a teacher at the Prep for more than 10 years and consider myself lucky to have been a part of the Fairmont Prep community as I was a student there myself before becoming a teacher there. I enjoy working with and supporting students who are trying to achieve their best. I really love that the school is made up of a diverse mix of both domestic and international students and has opportunities for all of them to get involved in the school community. Students can get involved in the arts, sports, robotics, and many other extra-curricular activities. One of my favorite on-campus activities is Around the World week which is hosted each Spring. It is a celebration of cultures where students, staff and faculty alike have the opportunity to dress in their cultural attire, enjoy food and performances from the variety of cultures represented during the week. I would definitely recommend the Prep to any family that wants their children to learn in a safe, supportive & cooperative learning environment. I consider myself lucky to work there.

I have been a student at Fairmont for almost 2 years. I came to Prep for more educational opportunities and for sports. I love the rallies that go on and the dances that students are able to attend. I recommend others to come and enroll because of the great environment that is at the school. It is a lot smaller than normal schools, which lets you really get to know your teachers and counselors, allowing you to make lasting relationships with many new people.

I have been a teacher at Fairmont Preparatory Academy for over 10 years now. After an international career in manufacturing and business, I earned my credentials (mathematics, physics, French) at Cal State Fullerton. I tried to work in a few place in Orange county but always ended being disappointed by the education provided. Teaching at the Prep is very rewarding. Teachers are given a large autonomy that allows us to deliver a pertinent, challenging curriculum. From basics classes to AP or IB courses, our students are being challenged and well prepared for college. They are exposed to advance material from very knowledgeable teachers; most of us have had prior careers and can include personal experiences in our lessons. Students are encouraged, and supported, in trying new activities. For example, a few years ago a group of my students wanted to "play" with robots during their free time. This has lead to create a FIRST Robotics team at our school, followed soon by other similar programs in our K-12 campuses. This is only one example of the many activities that are offered to our students. And if they cannot find an existing one, they will certainly be able to find mentorship and support to add their favorite hobby.Remy Demont

Small high school with big opportunities--that's how I'd describe Fairmont Prep. Students benefit from a close-knit school environment where everyone knows your name, but there's no shortage of special programs, sports, and extracurriculars for kids to choose from. Fairmont Prep shines in the area of college counseling--students get one-on-one support in finding their ideal match college and preparing all of the college app materials.

I am excited to share what a great school Fairmont Preparatory Academy is. This school has excellent college counseling, a tremendous grasp of the social and emotional needs of its students, outstanding academics and extra curricular offerings, as well as a really strong faculty. Anaheim may not be the most glamorous location, but that shouldn't deter you from considering this school. I know many alums from this school and they are happy, successful adults who credit so much of their success to their Prep experience.

Fairmont is an amazing school. The outstanding teachers, counselors and administrators are a huge asset. They are very dedicated to the education of the children. They offer a variety of programs to engage every student. In just four years the speech and debate team has become one of the best programs in the nation. The students leave the Prep very well prepared for college. Fairmont is an outstanding school and I highly recommend it.

My daughter was transferred to FPA as a freshman during the second half of the year, coming from a public school system. I am very pleased about how the teaching staff and the students have made her feel welcome immediately. Although she was originally nervous about the workload, she has transformed into a serious student almost overnight. She studies longer and works harder for her grades than I have ever seen her done. At her previous public school, she hardly did homework at home. Now, she has been doing homework every day right after school --- on her own, without me reminding her. She learns how to plan ahead and even asked to take summer schools. I cannot believe how much she has changed just from being around her peers who are serious students. She is much more self-motivated and serious about her college plan now that she knows the stiff competition out there for a good university. She will be able to carry that determination with her wherever she goes. Proud and happy mom, S.E.

Fairmont Prep Academy offers wonderful opportunities for my kids. They are very involved in so many aspects of the school. Whatever it is that they want to do at Fairmont they are able to because it is encouraged and actually possible for them. Fairmont is known for being focused on academics because of the support they receive from their teachers and counselors and they offer many advanced courses. This allows them to achieve their academic goals. Many of the kids are getting accepted to top schools its amazing to watch these kids grow and do so well!

We believe that students come first and always work towards meeting their individual needs. There is a high level of professionalism among the teachers and staff. Students blend creativity with physics, computer programming, science, engineering, and other academic principles to solve daunting technical challenges and build robots of their design. Our music, art, science, and sports programs have received recognition across Orange County. Many students have earned awards at science fairs, sports tournaments, debate and speech competitions, art shows, and performing arts productions.

I graduated from Fairmont Prep about 10 years ago and believe that the great faculty here really had a positive impact on the way that I think and live my life today. The environment at Fairmont enables motivated students to grow intellectually and prepares them for the real world. Although the teachers are excellent, it is ultimately up to the students to determine what they get out of the experience of attending Fairmont Prep. Don't expect Fairmont or any other school to make your child a successful student; it's up you (the parents). The resources are all there; excellent faculty and facilities. I recommend Fairmont Prep to any parent serious about their child's development.
