I understand the importance of discipline, but bullying should never be tolerated. The way some teachers treat students and allow them to bully them is completely unacceptable. We trusted you with our children and you let us down. I know I am not the only parent who feels this way - Its time to do better.

Every teacher our children have had at Bivins has been amazing! We feel privileged that they have been able to attend Bivins Elementary Schools and would not consider any other elementary school in the area for our family. Parents are highly involved and the teachers and administration go above and beyond to recognize each students' special abilities and talents and encourage them in their growth, academically and socially. Very diverse community that is inclusive and welcoming to all.

My daughter had to be removed from this school due to bullying . I was forced to file a grievance after about 6 months of on going problems. Teachers and staff do not properly watch the kids, they allow hitting , cussing and bullying. The Principle acts as a friend to his staff instead of a boss and does not coordinate issues efficiently or in a timely manner. When you complain to staff they will tell you everything will be taken care of and then later take it out on your child and even when or if child is physically hurt or going through emotional distress they will not call and let you know even if you’ve requested for them to do so. My child at 6 years old began to hate school and had to attend counseling after leaving Bivins. I do not recommend this school until serious staff changes are made.

Could not have asked for a better elementary school for our children to attend. It is a true neighborhood school and the neighborhood is very involved. Consistent and caring staff that have always expected the best of their students and given their best for the students.

I will not take my son's to any other school. I have not had one bad experience and my son has been there since pre-k. My little one starts pre-k this year and I would recommend Bivins to everyone! Great school!

We are raising our granddaughter who attends Bivins Elementary School. We find the school to be excellent and the teachers meet very high standards.
