This school has gone severely down hill over the last couple of years. I have tried and failed at getting my daughter transferred. I could list several reasons, but this, THIS is it! My daughter is having a hard time completing her IReady assignments. She’s not as fast at learning as the school would like her to be. She failed to pass her IReady assignment the week prior so they issued her a lunch detention. While she was in detention they had the students redo the assignments they couldn’t pass. They told her and the other students that “They need to try harder to pass their test because they used to be a B school but now they are not!” Are you kidding me? I’m livid!!!!!! Why would you put that pressure on a 10 year old?!?! Why not call it study hall? Why PUNISH them? Why not encourage? Why not explain they’re getting extra time or a second chance to catch up? This school just wants to put FEAR in our children so they can rank higher!!! Absolutely disgusting!

We enjoyed the Field Days. A good bonding experience for parents, teachers & students.

This school is doing an amazing job! Every morning my child is welcomed by smiling faces at the curb. Dr. Barfield and Mr. Boils are doing a great job! The scores don't tell the whole story. My 5th grader loves this school and her teachers!

I absolutely recommend this school. The teachers interact very well and actively with the students and the parents. The nurse is very efficient if your child has a medical need or incident reports. They are also very attentive to the needs of your child. The staff are very friendly and the counselor is very helpful.

Teachers ability to effectively do their job is questionable at best. Staff seems more concerned in convincing parents they are caring then of actually showing leadership.

River Hall is a great school with wonderful, caring teachers. They advocate for positive behavior and encourage it through implemented structures. The teachers go above and beyond for their students, pushing them to their capable limits. The school grade is not represented by the true ability of its students and their teachers. It has the highest ESE population in its zone and this has only lately been taken into account for state standardized testing. This really is a great school.

This is an absolute true account of the things going on at Riverhall the principal Roger Lloyd has ruined this school. I myself reached out to Scott and and Armstrong and they referred me to Marie Vetter who did nothing. In fact she got irritated with me for seeking her help. Telling him things told to her in confidence. It's definately you scratch my back I will scratch yours situation with no care taken for the kids or parents

River Hall has gone downhill fast since Roger Lloyd took over...It went from an "A" school to being 2 points away from being a "D" school, we have lost 52 teachers since he took over & many parents have moved their children to other east zone schools...Many parents have reached out to Dr. Burke & Dr. Adkins, who say are working to turn River Hall in the right direction. No matter the outcome, Roger Lloyd should not be a principle in any school...request his personal file from the Lee County School Board to find out more!!
