As a new eighth grader at this school I truly think that this is one of the best schools that I’ve ever moved to. The teachers are supportive and actually take their time to help the students who need help. The food is better than I would expect from a school, but maybe that’s just compared to Dover. I appreciate that they have algebra classes for eighth graders, who feel like they can take a step up from the normal math we would be learning so moving into the high school we can jump ahead. Overall, I would recommend sending your kid here.

a nightmare of staggering proportions, your children are not safe unless you take measures to protect them from these people

This school has improved so much over the last two years and is doing so well. It was just named 2019 School of Excellence. New principal and staff are doing an amazing job at improving the quality of school all around. The grounds are in great shape, a lot of building construction, improvements took place over the last two summers. The gym has been improved with fresh paint, floors refinished, basketball hoops were replaced to accommodate little children in lower grades, doors replaced and so much more. Hallways and bathrooms are very clean, classrooms look better and better each year, front office nice and clean. Most teachers are friendly and care about children. Kids are always excited to go to this school. It can be seen on their faces and heard any day you stop in. Hope the school gets the ratings they deserve for working so hard.

This school has maintenance issues, it is in need of someone caring about it's safety for the children who will maintain the school building and grounds. It is an old building which requires a lot of work to have it become safe and sound for our children. There are also issues with bullying which are not being addressed at the student/teacher level. Not enough has been done as a whole to prevent bullying. Naming names is not going to help "Prevent" bullying. A preventive program should be put in place which involves the entire school attending an assembly or meeting as and entire class instead of one classroom at a time. Also teachers should be trained/attend seminars on how to handle bullying in the school/online. I do feel some teachers are lacking the motivation to teach and involve their students in the process, due to lack of interest, burn-out or not enough support from the school staff itself. However, this school does have a fabulous preschool program and from shat I can see children with special needs tend to receive the help/assistance they require.
