This is our first year at ALE and I wanted to express how welcomed we have felt by the staff. Everyone has been super friendly. The school is a lot smaller than we thought, but it's got that feeling of safeness to it. Drop off/Pick up has been a breeze compared to our last school. The Principal is very involved. He is very good with the students. Getting on their level and communicating with them. He's out on the playground. He participates in PTA activities. As well as our new VP. I feel like this school is in great hands with this leadership. I also have noticed how wonderful the PTA has been. They are very active at this school. Lot's of fun things going on monthly.

I don't not recommend this school because the teacher do not care about the kids and there are races and the grades and the test are all down and bad my son had been there for 3 years and there was a stranger on the school and also hurt the kids it is danger and not safe and not helpful I have talked to the people worked there they do that care and the kids there are rude there is bullying and the teacher will not do anything learning my son is a 3rd grade level and because that is what the school teach him he is now 7th grade and this why you should not go to this school you can go if you want but my son could have died or been hurt the teacher only care about the kids who have a lot of money and mental health is so bad like they will be so mean to the kids and when they are doing nothing wrong safety horrible teaching is horrible as well DON'T GO TO THIS SCHOOL

Alta Loma School District hires highly trained teachers who design homework to fit their teaching style and their students.Teachers are evaluated, trained and supported in all areas and have lots of experience including the latest digital teaching tools. There are excellent leaders and trainers at both the site and district level. The school board is often re-elected because they work well to support students, families, and staff of the district. The school teaches respect, responsibility and resourcefulness and enforces good behavior with rewards and recognition. There are many levels of support for learning differences including a gifted and talented education program beginning in grade 4.There is anti-bullying education and students are encouraged to report all instances and can do so anonymously if necessary. This is a strong community school that originally housed the entire Alta Loma School District in 1952.A school bond has built one of the district's most modern media centers that is used for many school and district events. If you are lucky enough to live in this area, you will love A.L.E. as generations of families have attended here and continue to the outstanding Alta Loma Junior Hight that is also part of the Alta Loma School District and then go on to attend Alta Loma High School that is part of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. The PTA is a wonderful group of loving and selflessly giving people. The school is supported by a talented group of retirees as well who dedicated their lives to teaching here and continue to contribute on a regular basis. Most staff in the district spent some time at this school as it is the heart of ALSD. Some were even students here. There are regular spirit assemblies, spirit wear, family fun nights, awards ceremonies, fundraising events, educational assemblies, and community events held here. There are exceptional teams at all grade levels beginning in Preppy-K all the way to 6th grade. There is a health clerk that looks out for the well-being of all students as well as a nutrition staff that makes sure every student has a healthy lunch and breakfast daily. There is a fantastic custodial crew that keeps the school spiffy and a maintenance crew that makes the grounds look like a botanical garden. The library clerk is the most helpful, accommodating librarian you will ever meet with lots of books to select and the latest software to control inventory. Why wouldn't you send your scholar here?

My son has attend for 4 years and each year my son was not meeting grade level. I've asked each year if my son needed to be retained. Their response was he’s just young and will grow out of it. Now my son is in 3rd grade and reading at a kinder 1st level. Now he has an IEP to assist him and once all accommodations were agreed to months later to find out the teacher did not provide the accommodations she agreed to. Not the teachers fault but to schools fault they should've provided training to teachers with students on and IEP... Big lack of communication between principle and teachers. My son recently had and accident and was in office with nurse. Nurse left for the day and informed the office staff the reason why my son was in office waiting on parent to arrive with change of clothes. My son was sent back to class by the principle herself because her receptionist stated she was too busy to relay to message regarding the student. She was on the phone and had an office full of parents. It was her job to care for one student till parents arrive and failed to do that with one child who knows how many students have been dismissed due to staff being too busy to care for them. Defiantly should not be working at a school full of children if you can’t care for one at a time. Safety problem too how many people walk in and out of the office to the back door without receptionist aware because they’re too busy?! If your child needs additional help do not depend on this school to assist the needs of your child. If I can give this school zero stars I would. You have to go through so much just to get your child the education they need. This school is all about just pushing the kids not the next grade. They don’t care how the child or parent feels none of their request are met or taking into consideration.

My child had a great first year (Kindergarten) at ALE. His teacher Mrs. Maloney was nothing short of an amazing teacher. Everything since has been one disappointment after another. No structure, no support no stability.

The principal and staff at this school are so friendly. My daughter just started 1st grade here and I am happy to send her off in the morning. The principal and assistants always greet my daughter with a smile. It really makes a difference when you start the day off with a nice greeting. :) Her teacher (Mrs. Cipris) seems very caring and nice too. It makes me feel like my daughter will be taken care of at this school.

A once vibrant school, the morale of the parents have fallen. Walking into the front office, you can expect to be berated by the front office staff. The proctors talk about the children in front of other students. The events no longer have excitement. The principal has hands in everything, which has caused a back-log of action items. Over the last three years, enrollment has dropped from 518 (above) to 475, with parents taking their children based on their children's unhappiness. Teachers and parents alike have addressed issues with the principal, who fails to or unwilling to recognize the problems. I hope the school can turn around before the end of the school year.
