My daughter has learned so much from the environment here. She has a wide and varied interest and is allowed to pursue each to the fullest of her abilities. The classroom is a traditional Montessori set up with a three year cycle. By being surrounded by older children, my child has a chance to learn from her close peers. The older children learn a lot about caring and community and place a value on modeling good behavior, a win-win situation for all involved.

My son loved his time (Pre-K through 3rd grade) at AMS. You won't find a more dedicated group of parents and teachers anywhere. This school is a great alternative to the test-driven, creativity stifling world of public education. My son is a critical, inquisitive, thinker with a compassionate heart, and I know the Montessori Method and AMS have a lot to do with his academic successes.

Alpine is a small town and it is blessed to have such an incredible school! Both my children attended this school from age 2.5 to 9. I can't say enough good things about the school or the Montessori philosophy. I didn't know much about Montessori before my children attended but the school came so highly recommended that we enrolled our children. I was amazed at how much they enjoyed school work and how quickly they learned. My daughter was reading at 3 years of age and still loves to read more than anything else. My son was able to develop his creative/imaginative side. The teachers and staff are caring, wonderful people. One of the best parts was that we were all a community of involved parents and teachers working together to raise our kids in a warm, loving environment.

We're new this year at this school and it is one reason we chose Alpine. I have a child each in Primary and Elementary and I could not be more pleased with the education for both. What a joy to have my children being guided in learning by such strong capable teachers. The environment is loving and accepting, we made a great choice in coming here.

The commitment to the Montessori method is seamlessly incorporated into all aspects of the daily routine; and as a new family, the comfort and stabilty of a well-estalished school,(est. 1989), has made all the difference.

Great schools need great commitment from parents! The teachers work as hard as they can, but the parents as a group seem uninterested.
