We recently moved here and my daughter was very worried about coming to a new school in the middle of the year. She immediately felt included and was welcomed with open arms. She loves school! The staff at North Ward seem to truly care about each and every student. This school treats every family like they’re apart of their family.

I have three children and each of their experiences at North Ward have been excellent. The staff is committed, caring and effective. They want students to succeed. The principal is dedicated to making North Ward a place where students excel both academically and socially.

I went here as a child and loved it so naturally I would send all of my children here. The staff members ALWAYS go above and beyond for any student or family that may need a little extra help. I would strongly recommend this elementary school.

North Ward Elementary is one of the 4 great elementary schools in the Allegan Public School district. The principal and teachers genuinely care for students and their well being. The curriculum is constantly being scrutinized for best practices, utilizing differentiated instruction techniques to help our students master the basics. Their STAR behavior program provides incentives for kids to demonstrate good character traits. North Ward has many other special programs, such as their community garden -- where else can students plant and harvest their own pumpkins?!!! Parent and community support is outstanding. I highly recommend this school!

This elementary school is great for my kids. The teachers are enthusiastic about teaching and are trying new ideas in order to engage the kids. The community interacts with the school and students for many different events. My kids love their teachers and look forward to another year. I would like to see a full time principal to keep the stability of reprimanding students/staff. It would be nice for more parents to become involved.

Northward has a strong student-teacher-parent relationship. Communication between school and home is essential and this elementary school gets an A+! The students learn STAR behavior from day 1. (Show kindness, Take responsibility, Always kind, Respect all) The teachers have created an exceptional environment for learning, are caring and nurturing, and strive to be the best! The parents are supportive by being involved in organizations, fundraising, and supporting the staff. Northward is a family. Northward Elementary is a fantastic school!

North Ward has a great family environment! The teachers truly care about all the students! They set high expectations for student achievement and behavior. We love this school!
