My daughter is a sophomore and loves attending Ramona. She is academically challenged and socially engaged in the many activities.

Very good. I have been a student for four years and the work is rigorous but prepares you well. The food is not good and overpriced. There are no vegan or vegetarian options and the normal lunch options are awful. Some faculty members are very questionable. I have even witnessed an office worker being hostile and rude towards a parent and even going so far to raise her voice. Unfortunately we cannot evaluate the office workers so the school does not know of their unprofessional behavior. Bedides that there is an excellent staff. Reasources are bountiful and success is easy if you work hard.

Excellent administrators, challenging yet caring teachers, extracurricular activities and sports, and a wonderful sisterhood that has made my daughter feel so comfortable, happy and part of a learning community. We are so glad she is here.

Ramona Convent Secondary School has administrators, teachers, and counselors who really care about their students. The academic workload and extra-curricular activities, whether they be organized sports, a club, or school sponsored trip, such as Harvard Model Congress provides students with solid opportunities that challenge them and foster confidence and poise. They arrive at RCC perhaps scared and a little green but they leave filled prepared with a quiet sense of dignity, poise, and confidence.

To start with, the campus is magical with so much history. Add to that, one of the sweetest, most approachable school principal you will ever find. The academics are challenging, but most teachers are generous with their time before or after school to help students. The classes are engaging and I can tell they have lively, empowering discussions just by hearing my daughter talk at dinner time. The school is on the small side, so if anything, I would like to see enrollment increase and also more AP offerings. But, I genuinely feel that my daughter is being challenged and will be well prepared for college. All this and a safe, welcoming environment that also values issues of social justice make this a high quality school for this parent.

My daughter and I enjoyed 4 years of this school. I am so thankful that this school helped to transform my little girl into a strong young woman. The teachers, such as Ms. Platz, Mr.Gray and Mrs. Barnheiser, are wonderful; however, after some changes happening in administration, we lost the presence of some of great teachers, Mr. Chung and Ms. Sevilla. Overall, this is great school. Great program, great teachers, and most of all, no bullies in the school.

In my experience the principal is not at all approachable, and does not demonstrate empathy when it comes to your child being bullied.

Our daughter was a Ramona student in grades 7-12. She had a great education from caring, supportive teachers who set high standards. About 6 months after she began college, our daughter phoned home to thank us for sending her to Ramona. She said she was the only student in her college dorm who did not hate high school. A big thank you to Ramona for instilling academic skills, strong values, and a positive attitude towards education.

My daughters attended Ramona a few years ago. I am very grateful for the outstanding education they received there. I like that the school offered academic opportunities that allowed them them to thrive in a rigorous yet caring safe wholesome environment. The school was very strict and enforced the rules beautifully. Ms. Platz was the best exponent of the school mission and I truly appreciated her efforts. My girls were well prepared for USC and UCLA. I applaud Ramona for all it did for my daughters especially for instilling the timeless Gospel values.
