Have you ever enrolled your child in a public school and thought, "Wow, there are so many kids here, how can my child be more than a number?"I have! My son was enrolled in kindergarten and was going to be one of 50-60 children that the teacher would have in her 2 half day classes. I couldn't put him in a class where I felt he would be lost in a sea of children. That's when we considered St. John's Lutheran school. With the small class sizes and dedicated staff, I knew he wouldn't be lost. The teachers truly care for each student! They not only guide them scholastically but spiritually as well. By sending my kids to St. John's, I am confident they will grow up to be faith filled, successful, considerate, well rounded adults. If you want more for your child please consider calling (847) 658-9311 to schedule your tour today.

My daughter has attended St. John’s Algonquin for the past four years. My daughter has flourished through her education at the school. She is confident and outgoing student that loves going to school. The small classroom sizes are great. The teachers and staff have been so supportive and skilled in making learning fun. The STEM based curriculum ensures that she is learning creative thinking skills that has allowed her to really blossom. Her grades are A's and B's, which thrills me. Never before have I been so impressed with a place- from the Principal down to the teachers and staff all are genuine, loving, and very professional! This school is a God-send, a fabulous place with truly caring people and kids! It's the best kept secret in the suburbs!

We knew that we wanted a great academic education for our daughter but we also wanted her to have a solid Christian education to begin her journey in Christ. It was important to us that she learn about serving others in life as well as being a great student. So, six years ago, our family visited St. John’s. She made friends instantly and we were sure. As parents, we liked the small class sizes, the curriculum, the STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), band, choir, the fantastic teachers and the Pastor’s participation. Our daughter also loves playing on the sports teams and participating in the youth group. We feel like we belong to a special family here and are so happy that we found this school!

All three of my children go to St. John's & have since preschool. This is the place to be if you are looking for caring teachers, great curriculum, small class sizes, & Christian values! The school provides the best of the STEM program, music/choir/band, Spanish class, cursive handwriting, iPad use (current technology) and so much more! St. John's is a fully accredited school with exceptional standards without the mandated Common Core curriculum - a win! The best part is once you're here, you're an immediate part of the family! This school offers classes from 3 year preschool through 8th grade.

This school is absolutely stellar! My 3 children attend prek, Kindergarten and 4th grade. I can truly not say enough great things about the teachers, staff and principal. My 4th grader is obsessed with the stem program and my 6yo loves music and choir! Even my prek asked me to change his half days to full days because he wants to be in class (mind blown).

My daughter attends this school and all I can say is, WOW! Each and every teacher and school personnel knows my daughter by name, and cares about her as if she was their own child. The class sizes are very small compared to public schools and many other private schools as well, I can rest assured that my daughter is receiving the best education possible at St. John's. Thank you, St. John's for all that you do for my daughter and all the love that you show her!

I am extremely pleased with my experience at St. John's School in Algonquin. My daughter and I love all of the teachers and the staff. The level of communication from the staff, the teachers and even the principal is superb and we feel so welcome in this environment. She is excelling in all of her subjects and loves going to school. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful community and feel so lucky that we found St. John's.

If you are looking for a quality education with Christian values, this is the place for you! We chose this school based on class size, educational standards, & Christian values. St. John's is not just a school, we are a family! How often do you see a school where all students know each other's names & uplift each other on a daily basis? It's rare & beautiful!

St. John's is a great place if you are looking for a Christian based education. The class size is perfect. My daughter is one of five kindergarteners, and my son is one of 5 third graders. The split grade classes in 1st-8th allow for many great learning opportunities. The curriculum is moving in a more challenging direction with the adoption of a STEM based curriculum. They have all the same great opportunities for extra curricular programs as the public school. Everyone from pre- school to 8th grade knows and cares for each other. The kids love and respect everyone in the school!

I absolutely love St. John's! I have three kids going here and they love coming to school everyday. My oldest has been here since preschool and has made so many friends and wonderful memories. The staff at St. John's are amazing and set their standards high for their students. I was so impressed with the all day Kdg. and the enrichment being provided. My oldest was reading fluently by Christmas of his Kdg. year and has be excelling in all content areas. The family atmosphere at St. John's is an extra added perk that makes you feel like this is "home."

I have nothing but the best to say about St John's. My oldest just graduated and still says he is a part of this school. I have a son in 1st grade and my youngest will be going to preschool before I know it. Great teachers and staff! If you want your child to get a good education and learn Christian values I wouldn't look anywhere else :)

We love St. John's! We pulled our children from another private school to attend St. John's and could not be happier with that decision. The teachers are amazing and do not cause our children stress. They love going to school everyday and are excelling with their program and curriculum. The school and church families are very warm and welcoming. The Pastor absoutely rocks and is very involved in the education of the children. This a great school and we are so happy that we found it!

My child attends this school and loves it. Class sizes are small which offers a more one on one with the child and teacher. I feel this has less distractions for the child and each can be focused on individually.

St. John's is a great school! Small class sizes and experienced teachers have helped our daughters to be academically and socially successful. They offer sports, music and foreign language opportunities as well. St. John's is a quality alternative to the over-crowded public schools.

We had 3 children enrolled at St. Johns. We were very unhappy with the school. Our children are now in Dist 300 public schools and we are very happy with the teachers, principals, programs and families.
