This school sucks. The principal is not effective. If your child has bullying issues with being picked on by mentally challenged children who's parents don't raise them correctly DO not expect this school to hand out any sort of consequences. This has happened more times than it should have. They have a laxed and carefree attitude. My son has never been at a school and wished he did not have to go there again. This particular child is a problem and his parents don't seem to do anything about it.I don't recommend this school and If you need higher ups they will refer you to a service center before actually reaching someone who can do the job that the principal can't.Absolutely disgusting. Beware!

Our daughter has attended Petroglyph since 1st grade and is now in 5th Grade. This is a GREAT school and all the teachers she has had have been great! Their gifted program is incredible as is the gifted teacher whom she has had for all 4 years. She knows how the challenge the kids in creative in interesting ways. We have never had any issues with the administrative staff. They are always very supportive. Highly recommend this school!

This school is not for your child if they have any kind of disability. They have either adamantly refused or ignored my request to have my son evaluated for SE. The principal is ridiculously rude and unprofessional. She became irate with me after requesting an IEP for my child and told me he will not get one, despite APS policies and procedures and the obvious help and support my child needs. She labeled him a “difficult child” and threatened suspension rather than support his cry for help. They also suggested I medicate my child. I am down right disgusted at the treatment we’ve received since his enrollment.

My kids did fabulous at Petroglyph! You always have a teacher that maybe only fits the bill marginally but saying that I thought overall being involved for 8 years in the classroom and PTA ...I would rate it stellar for a public school. All but one teacher really worked with my kids and me.
