My oldest child attented Ada for all 5 years, and my younger two are still there. When teacher assignment letters come out at the end of summer, parents and students are worried at all about what teacher it will say because they're all so amazing. My 3 kids have 3 very different personalities and learning styles, and I am amazed at how the teachers adjust each child's learning experience to be just right for that student. Ada also has a strong community feel among the families, which is really fun!

My son has attended Ada since Young 5s and his experience has been wonderful. We started him in Young 5s hoping he'd gain some maturity in that class, since he was very hyper. When he went to Kindergarten he was still having difficulty focusing. His teacher and I discussed his potential for ADHD but she urged me to wait a couple years before getting him tested since he wasn't acting out or harming others. In 1st grade he had an amazing teacher who is adored by the community. Each child in class had a journal that was used by the teacher and parents daily to discuss behavior, learning discussion topics to ask the kids about, and things they were working on. She tried so many techniques with my son to keep him on task and focused and kept me informed of the progress and asked for feedback. In 2nd grade I decided to have my son tested for ADHD and it was confirmed. His teacher recommended my son for a gifted program with reading and gives him extra "bonus" work to keep him challenged. She has a mantra that homework shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes each night and assigns homework packets that reflect current learning. Each year my son says he has a new favorite teacher. I highly recommend this school to anyone. The teachers I've had experiences with all tailor their teachings to the kids.
