St. Cloud is in one of the suburbs of Orlando. The quieter area is found to the south of the metropolitan area and on the southern shore of East Lake Toho in Central Florida. Within 30 minutes, you can also be into Kissimmee, where there are a wide array of other attractions, including all of the Disney World theme parks, Old Town, which features shopping and some fun rides for kids of all ages, several go kart tracks, as well as an array of miniature golf courses to play on, featuring themes that range from pirates to glow in the dark.
Various events take place throughout St. Cloud on an annual basis, too. This includes several festivals, such as the Annual St. Cloud Craft Festival and the Saint Cloud Holiday Festival. Many others happen, as well, and these are often found at the waterside, with special attractions just for the kids, such as bounce houses and face painting.

There is a significant amount of new construction taking place as well, particularly in the areas to the west, closer to Kissimmee. The 32 percent of homes that were built since 1990 are generally those that have been built in the past decade, offering many of the more modern styles.
Many of the homes that were built in the past decade or so feature stucco on the outside, two car garages, and split floor plans. Approximately 42 percent of the homes feature two bedrooms while another 40 percent have three bedrooms. 11 percent of the homes on the market have four bedrooms or more, which helps to accommodate those with larger households – which accounts for approximately 23 percent of the neighborhood.
Those who are in the working class will find an array of work industries. The most popular ones include education, health, retail, and tourism. With Walt Disney World so close, there is a significant amount of tourism that takes place, including accommodations and a wide array of other entertainment venues to keep people occupied. Orlando is also becoming one of the medical hubs of the country, with more hospitals and health parks are opening regularly.
Some of the top employers in the area include the Osceola County School District, Walt Disney Company, Wal-Mart, Publix Supermarkets, and Valencia Community College. St Cloud Regional Medical Center is another large employer in the area as well.
Several parks are found in St. Cloud. This includes Lakefront Park on Lakeshore Boulevard as well as Hopkins Park on E 17th Street. Each have walking and jogging paths to take advantage of as well as a variety of flora and fauna to take in. Lakefront Park offers playground equipment, a fishing pier, as well as a slash pad for the kids. Hopkins Park is more sports-focused with a ball field and basketball courts. There’s also a butterfly and vegetable garden at the parkl, along with picnic facilities.
Additionally, there is a significant amount of outdoor recreation around Lake Toho, which is what the locals call Lake Tohopekaliga. Many people will use the docks for their own personal boats and watercraft. There is also a boardwalk that many people will walk or bike ride around in order to take advantage of the fresh air.
St. Cloud experiences highs in the 90s throughout the summer months as well as lows in the 50s throughout the winter months. As such, this area of Florida is popular due to the year-round warm – and is also why so many people from the north choose to move down here later in life.
