You can then return to your home where the streets are more quiet, less crowded, and more residential in nature. It's the best of both worlds in Central Florida.

Casselberry is best known for being a suburban outpost of Orlando. It's also equally close to Winter Park, which is like a mini-Orlando for people with a lot of money. You can get to either Orlando or Winter Park from Casselberry in just a few minutes by car, and it doesn't take much longer to get either place by public bus, either. Because of its easy proximity to these places, Casselberry is known for being close to some cool things, including:
Whole Foods--There is a Whole Foods not more than ten minutes away from any point in Casselberry by car. If you are into healthy eating and enjoy having a place you can go to pick up a fully prepared healthy meal any time you don't want to cook, you will appreciate having a Whole Foods so close. Opened in April of 1997, it is the oldest Whole Foods in the central Florida area. You will find a full selection of organic, vegetarian, gluten-free, raw, and other healthy foods there, as well as a popular deli section where you can buy freshly prepared foods for meals, as well as get a smoothie or some fresh juice made for you right at the counter.
Super Wal-Mart--Those who like a good deal will appreciate the location of a super Wal-Mart right in the heart of Casselberry itself. A cheap bag of groceries, and just about anything else you need for your house, is available right up the road from practically any residential point in town. You could actually ride your bike there from most residential locations.
Rollins College--Less than a mile up the road from Whole Foods is Rollins College, a well-known private university that counts several famous alumni, among them Fred Rogers of "Mister Rogers's Neighborhood" fame. It's a great place to go to school, or to go attend any number of cultural events that are open to the general public there throughout the year.
Central Park--Go up a few more blocks from Rollins College and you will find Central Park, the Orlando area's version of the same-named park of NYC fame. It is several blocks' worth of open green space, with benches, fountains, big trees, and a band pavilion. You will meet plenty of friendly pigeons and squirrels there who are used to being around humans. Bring them some peanuts or bread, and they will be your best friends, and may even let you touch them. All around the park are high end shopping boutiques, salons, and gourmet restaurants. The Winter Park Amtrak station also goes through the middle of the park, giving you an easy place to embark on travel expeditions.
The University of Central Florida--A lot of students at the nearby University of Central Florida choose to live in Casselberry, due to its reasonable housing costs and close proximity to the school. It's a more homey location than the rows of student apartments on University Boulevard, which leads to the main entrance of the school. And, in just a short drive, you can attend classes or any public event that goes on at the university. You'll also be close to all the inexpensive retail and restaurant establishments that are set up near the university to appeal to students on a budget. But no one says non-students can't take advantage of the terrific prices at these places, too.
