This school has changed a lot since C19. Teachers and administrators have changed not to the better sadly. The principal needs to really open her eyes and get in touch with what is going on at the school. It's the not the same as it was in past years

Traffic is the worst it’s ever been. The leaders need to figure something out and soon!

This is the best school in Yuma. Just meet Ms S and Ms KB and you will know why. Hands down. The Best!

The teachers at DVA are ok. If you complain you’ll get a great one. If you don’t you won’t. The ladder ones are the ones that hurt the kids and Wygel doesn’t care!!!

DVA has been, and continues to be our #1 choice of schools. We are confident that the DVA team cares deeply about kids!

Prior to this year, I loved DVA. I thought it was the best school in Yuma. Now, after a few weeks of this new learning, I am missing KB. She always made things easy for us. The current administration is all over the place. Neither one of them seem 'in it' for the students. They seem to want the limelight. Shameful!

This school was great for a long while. Without certain staff it’s mediocre. The principal cannot move the school forward. She should retire!

Absolutely wonderful! I'm so sad this will be my son's last year at this school, as he will be in middle school next year! It is worth the 30 minute one-way commute from my home!

We have been with DVA for years. The new changes have caused us to withdraw our child. Not sure what’s going on or where Mrs KB is but the place isn’t the same.

Desert View is a great school with a not so great leader. Luckily it’s leader isn’t the leader that is at it’s middle and high school. The principals are a joke. Friendly yes but a joke. The APs and office people do the brunt of the work at both schools. DVAs teachers are super but they are worked to the bone and only praised by AP. It’s sad. The kids are happy there and they learn and grow. Just beware of the sweet kool aid the principals try to sell.

Overall we have loved DVA. Read the reviews and beware of the phoney people there. They eventually show their true colors.

It is a picture perfect school until you open the closets... then you start finding the skeletons. Should have left sooner.

I have loved this school for years and cannot speak enough praises on the staff and administration. This is a place my children and my family have called home for years and we will always consider DVA a part of our heritage. It is an amazing place with amazing people who do amazing things for children every day.

I love this school. I hate the politics. I love the students and the teachers. It is a good school but it is not without it its issues. Check it out and decide for yourself.

My experience at this school is an 11/10 because I truly love how this school operates and the fact that every single staff member cares about their students. This school will go above and beyond to make sure that the students are cared for and that they are able to succeed in school and in life.

Best school in Yuma, hands down. There is no place I would even consider sending my kids to besides DVA. Mrs Weigel and Mrs KB are terrific leaders and the teachers and learning coaches are fabulous. A+++ school

I worked at DVA for several years. During my time there, there were many things I agreed and some things I did not agree with. I found most of the teachers to be incredible and some of them, to be lacking, but protected by the principal, so saying anything yielded no returns. My children thrived at DVA and I could not be more thankful for the education both of them received. They both left better people both academically and socially.I also had the opportunity to work alongside the assistant principal, on a daily basis, for much of my time, at the school. I can say that our relationship was completely symbiotic and we had the utmost respect for each other. I saw her deal with both parents and students in ways that took my breath away. Likewise, she was the absolutely diplomatic when dealing with staff, even those, who were unkind to her, like the office manager. But she is a person who never let things like that get to her, although everyone saw the mistreatments. Nevertheless, I know the school is in great hands, because of her. KB is one of the best managers I have ever known and one of the best people I have ever worked with. If you get the chance to tour the school, please take the time to meet her. She’s a gem AND DVA is an amazing school, hidden in the Yuma valley.
