This school was never the best. Most parents transferred their children to wildwood or surrounding schools. It’s sad to see that it’s a 2/10 though. They need better teachers and to stop common core.

CES is a great school. I was weary at first due to the test scores and reviews but once my child entered second grade after having a poor experience at a local charter school he is now thriving! We love Calimesa and their teachers! I’ve never felt so welcomed at school like CES.

I love my experience here at Calimesa. I feel that my kids are receiving the BEST education, and I see their successes, and feel their love for their school.

We love Calimesa!!! It is a great school! My children received a well rounded education from highly qualified and caring teachers. Dedicated Admin. ensures children’s voice is heard.

I would said its a great school the staff is very friendly , always putting the children best interest first . My kids love going to school and their teachers , when ever is a conflict they are always on the situation and try to fix it fast . They work one on one with your child .

Moving my son to Calimesa elementary School was the best decision I ever made. He struggled academically and socially. He absolutely thrived at Calimesa. I loved the small school atmosphere. Highly recommend this school!!!

Horrible experience. Special education teacher had no knowledge of children with high functioning Autism. Some pretty terrible experiences, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I look around our school and am so thankful I work there. As we start a new trimester, I am looking forward to further implementation of our school wide behavior plan. The plan helps students learn social skills and understand our behavior expectations in a positive way.

My sisters and Myself went to this school and now my daughter has attended here since kindergarten. She's now in 3 rd. I'm sad to be moving out of the area. I love this school our rating may not be high but out teacher love and care for our children and their success. The more you get yourself invoked the better the school. Teachers can't do it all it's up to the parents/volunteers. I hope to find a school that's comparable.

We moved to Yucaipa in 1994, so my little brother attended this school and had nothing but issues with being bullied until he was moved to Wildwood Elementary. Now my daughter attends CES. Her Kindergarten teacher was absolutely awesome! She had excellent communication with the parents and welcomed parents in her classroom. We are three months in to first grade and myself and my daughter are extremely disappointed. My daughter has been bullied and physically assualted on four seperate occasions. She reported it to her teacher and was dismissed. Made to feel unimportant and now she is terrified of school, which she previously loved! I made contact with the new principle whom seems to not care either. I am opting out of this awful school and think other parents should follow suit. If they are not going to care about our children and there safety, why should we care about their careers. Those teachers that are actually teachers and good at what they do will find jobs at other, better schools.

This school has a bully problem, and the principal, doesn't seem to be able to handle it. Also,be cautious who your children may get as far as teachers are concerned, especially in 6 th grade.

My girls are just finishing the school year at this school and boy am I happy. The only good thing about this school are the ladies that work in the office. My girls attended the whole school year without missing any days, and not only do they not get a perfect attendance award, but they are not acknowledged at all! simply because of a few tardies. that of course made me sad because my girls worked very hard for that award. Also I can add the school will not contact the parent if your child is hit or being bullied at the school... it will be ignored unless your child tells you and you contact the school yourself. In addition the teachers are rude, the parents are the ones who do all the fundraising for the school, and the principal just simply does not care what you have to say. I will not be returning my children to this school, even if it means quitting my job and teaching them myself. There are plenty of better schools in the area and I will opt out for a better option than calimesa elementry. I hope this helps.

I have only been in contact with 2 teachers, a kidnergarden teacher and a 1st grade teacher, and both are not very friendly for the age group they are working with. I do not approve of the way they speak to the children, or handle classroom disputes between the children. I am working to get my children out of this school, into a better, more friendly enviornment. The only thing I like about this school is the staff in the office are very friendly.
