The worst school anyone can go to.

We are very pleased with RCS. We believe that children that attend Riverside from K-12 will have an experience that at all levels (education, athletics, school leadership) is rooted in Christ. RCS values prayer, foundational in the bible and is unashamed for helping students grow with their relationship with Christ. Riverside is an nondenominational option for a Christian education, which there are few in the Yakima valley. For those that are relocating here or would like their children to have a Christian education, Riverside will give you this option. Also, if you believe you might be limited from this type of education because of costs, Riverside can help here by reviewing with you on how it might work for your family. No school is perfect and schools will always have challenges, however Riverside is a very strong option in the valley for an education that will be grounded in Christian fundamentals and biblical truths and unashamed of these traits. In a world of chaos where everyday there seems to be a change and something new presented to our children, Riverside provides an education that relies on those things that never change which are biblical truth with Christian roots.

We love Riverside Christian School...My grandchildren have gone there, from kindergarten to graduation with honors...We now have one in 8th. grade....My Granddaughter teaches 2nd. grade there also...We have gone to 14 grandparent days and enjoy them. The staff is wonderful and the Principal Mr. Randy Reynolds has such great concern for the students. We enjoy their chapels where the students lead in worship and play their instruments. I recommend this Christian School where Jesus is made known...

My family and I love this school! My 2 kiddos started last year, and I have been so pleased with how amazing this school has been to be apart of. They truly are a great community, the staff genuinely cares about each individual student's education and Christ-centered learning. I love that God is the center of my children's school days, that is so important to us. I love that they get to pray with their teachers and classmates, it's so beautiful to see. Their teachers have been so wonderful, I'm so thankful for all the time and love they pour into their students, it really shows!

Our experience with Riverside Christian School has unfortunately been very disappointing. As parents, the safety, health, and wellbeing of our child are paramount, and it's deeply troubling when these basic expectations are not met by the very institution entrusted with our child's care. Our son joined the school mid-year and was confronted with several distressing situations. The most serious of these occurred when he suffered an appendix explosion, a grave health crisis. Despite clearly expressing his discomfort, the school's nurse responded poorly. Instead of maintaining his privacy and dignity, the condition was announced to the entire classroom, leading to undue embarrassment.Even more distressing was the skepticism expressed by some staff members about his illness. They implied doubt about the severity of his condition, even as he was visibly pale and obviously unwell. This disregard for a student's health condition is both disheartening and alarming.Upon returning to school post-surgery and a period of bed rest, the indifference continued. There was no help offered to lighten his load, literally and figuratively, such as carrying his books or extending basic courtesies. The student body also seems to lack basic decency and respect. Hostile and rude behavior was reported by our son on multiple occasions. A school should nurture respect, empathy, and a sense of community, areas where it seems Riverside Christian School is falling short. It is distressing to see your child having to navigate such an unwelcoming environment, more so when they are recovering from physical health challenges. Based on these experiences, we believe Riverside Christian School needs to urgently improve their handling of health emergencies, attitudes of staff, and the overall school environment. In its current state, we can't recommend it as a conducive place for education.

Riverside is an amazing school in the valley. It's safe, encouraging and teaching students how to lead. We have tried Eisenhower and La Salle. There is a world of difference in the culture and environment at Riverside.

Best school in town hands down! Blessed to have my daughter at Riverside Christian. Smaller classrooms means more one on one attention for the children and we all know more individual attention is better than being lost in a crowd of 30 classmates (like public school)

I have three kids currently attending Riverside Christian. The excellent education, safe environment, opportunities to be involved with multiple sports, emphasis on Christian service, are just a few of the reasons why I am thankful for Riverside Christian School. From elementary, to middle school, and now high school, I have been able to count on great teachers and a positive yet challenging push for my sons to reach their fullest potential. I recommend Riverside Christian highly.

I graduated from RCS and I had a very not pleasant high school experience, I was told by the counselor not to even bother applying to college because I wouldn't get in and that community college was a stretch for me. I was ignored and patronized because of my family. I was isolated by teachers and victimized. Overall, the school is low on diversity, poor classes, teachers who aren't even real teachers, and poor staff. For the money you pay to send you kids here this is not the education nor the environment you should be paying for.

We have two who graduated and moved onto college. Both said college is easy as they were well prepared how to learn. I have one child in 8th grade and moving through 12th at this amazing school. We have been part of this school for 16 years and look forward to more years of great schooling and life preparation. This is a great investment of our time and resources.

I attended an open house to check out Riverside. My bias was not for a private Christian school. Within minutes, I was won over. That was 15 years ago. Our first son attended k-12, and is now a Jr. at WSU, the transition was a breeze. He was well prepared for college. Our second son is a Jr at Riverside now. The communal culture is great...older classmates mentoring younger students. High academic standards, Christian education in an environment surrounded by families and teachers that care!

I am a parent of 5 amazing kids and one of our goals for our kids is that each of them would love the Lord Jesus Christ with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength. At Riverside we have found a great team to partner with us in training and preparing our kids. I love that the tag line for the school is: Rooted in Christ. Ready for tomorrow. We want every part of our kids education to be under the direct influence of the greatest teacher ever, which is Jesus. I love it that my kids are being challenged academically by a great and competent staff who believe in the Mission of the school. Each of our kids have been able to thrive in this holistic education environment. Our 5th child is almost school age and you can plan on us enrolling him at Riverside. RCS - Excellence in Christian Education!

Awesome school! Amazing staff! 100% of my oldest child's graduating class pursued continued education or chose to serve in the military. Second child continues to thrive. Small class sizes and a loving & caring Christ centered environment. I couldn't ask for a better place for my kids to spend 30 hours a week!

Riverside Christian School is not just a school, but a family. My wife and I came to truly know what this school is about before we had children, and quickly fell in love with them. Now, our two boys (grade 4 and 7) have been attending since Pre-K. This place is such a blessing to our family and our friends. Our boys are being educated at a much higher level, and this is enhanced by the use of scripture. Not only are they in an environment that is conducive to learning in a Godly way, but their scholastic testing results far exceed all national standards.

Riverside Christian School is amazing. The teachers really love my kids and not only want them to succeed academically but desire for them to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We have had two sons attending RCS k-12; the first son is now a Jr. at WSU. The academics and culture prepared him so well that his first two years at university were a breeze. Our second son will be a Jr. at RCS. One of the greatest jewels of RCS is the sense of real community among students and faculty. The older kids look after the younger. RCS has been the best investment our family has made! Academics, Christian education and a great community.

I have 5 children at various stages of RCS, 2 of which have graduated. The education, caring, sports, worship, and property are superb for a school of this size. I know the options in Yakima and would choose no other school community for my family. If Jesus matters to you, and your child is preschool through high school, you need to consider RCS.
