Great school! I moved all three of my kids from another woodland school to Plainfield. Best decision for us. Principal is hands on and great. They have a lot of activities for students and my kids love Band and their Art class. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and extra helpful.

My child currently attends and at first I thought it was a great school, but the longer he is there, the more I realize that it's an illusion. The bullying is excessive, especially on the playground, the teachers seem to lack discipline approval, meaning the school frowns upon really taking action on students. I've seen things happen in a kindergarten class that should never occur. There are several students there that should not be in a traditional classroom, as they are aggressive and abusive, yet the school still allows them to attend. Then I heard last week that a child was discovered to have head lice with live bugs and was sent back to class like nothing was wrong. This school could be better and do better, but I think anyone considering this place should really look elsewhere. I know I am looking at pulling my child out.

This school has a great reputation and a long history of strong parental involvement. however, over the last 4 years the active parents have left the school, playground bullying is uncontrolled, and teacher supervision has declined dramatically. There are several other schools in Woodland where the teachers and administrators are working to improve their school environments and I would stongly suggest these schools over Plainfield People have left Plainfield for Dingle, Gibson and Freeman. All completely unheard of a few years ago.
