We have had three kids at CCA for the past four years. We love it. Academics are great. Teachers are excellent and accountability is expected. Sports and extracurriculars are popular with the students and supported by administration. Overall environment is caring, demanding (in a good way) and keeps the students engaged. Fantastic school and we could not be more grateful for the home our kids have there.

We have been a part of the Christ Chapel Academy family in Woodbridge, VA for more than 16 years. Our family and extended family absolutely love CCA. Our daughter attended CCA from Kindergarten to 12th grade and is excelling in college. College is so easy for her due to her academic foundation and the vested interest from her Teachers at CCA. Our son began at CCA from two years old and will continue to attend CCA until he graduates. CCA is a school that provides a strong Christian and academic foundation, many academic and after school clubs, and a variety of sports to keep the students involved. The Administrator, Principals, Teachers, and Staff really love the kids and want to see them win. They are truly invested in their future and for that we are extremely grateful.

We are so thankful that we found CCA. After horrible experiences in local public schools, we feel like we have found a family. The teachers care about the students success and the administration is very supportive. The school sends a lot of communication and I know my children are safe and cared for.

Honestly, do not send your kids here for high school. Teachers are mediocre at best and the support staff is non-existent. High schoolers aren't encouraged to aim for competitive or Ivy League schools. Many of the teachers do not even help kids try for Ivy's. They are too okay with mediocrity. The "college prep" is an unrealistic and useless workload. A student's success at this school depends on how much they want to sacrifice. If your kid plans to have no friends, be in no clubs, do no sports, and just study, CCA is perfect for them. Yes, there is a good culture and a good community. From what my daughter has told me, CCA is like a family. however the academic policies and results are discouraging. They use the excuse their workload is hard, challenging, or unforgiving. In reality, it is unrealistic. Students are expected to practically teach themselves at home and do busy work at school. Then take a 65-question test on material they barely understand. Leaving them with no time to simply enjoy youth.There is a lack of support between teachers and parents as well. "High school students are grown, there should be virtually no communication between the parent and the teacher." You will probably hear something like that several times throughout the year. It's just a tactic they use to barely teach kids and get away with it. The school is very Godly, constantly quoting the Bible in every instance. Yet, they can be hypocritical. My daughter has come home talking about several instances where teachers were gossiping with and about other students. Any of the surrounding schools like Colgan or Forest Park would be a better option and I wish sent my daughter there. There would be an actual school counselor and proper support to turn my daughter into a healthy working adult rather than a godly teenager.

My experience has been very positive. We are in the middle of our second year. Teachers & staff are supportive and loving. Highly recommend it!

Great for Lower School. Average at best for Upper School. Inconsistent discipline. Favoritism is strong for students whose parents work for the school or church, at the expense of better performing students without such connections. Bullying is rampant and largely ignored. Sports take precedence over academics. Music department is fantastic, however, Just not worth paying such expensive tuition for music, though, as there are also plenty of great music programs in public schools in the county.

Christ Chapel Academy has been a fantastic school for my son since PreK3. He now attends Kindergarten. Every single interaction with the staff exceed my expectations. They put my son's best interest first at all times and my son is excelling tremendously in his academics here. We love CCA!

My child transitioned with great ease from the Classical Christian Home school. Not only does this school maintain the Christian World View that we are pursuing, it contains dedicate skilled staff who have chosen to live out their leadership by example knowing the influence they are having on these future leaders. I will admit, I was initially uncertain of what we were going into as the open houses we attended did not truly reflect the demographics of the whole school. I have a daughter, yet the open house reflect many boys. Our trust proved fine as my daughter has many friends who are girls and boys. Demographics is not an issue here. This school has dedicated students athletes and so encourages others to want to attend here. Although we all want state championships, the focus is in this order, God, Grades, Games. Character counts! Sports start out with the pledge and continue with a blessing before the games. Team efforts along with good sportsmanship prevails here. The opportunities for college focus is here. There is dual enrollment but we have not experienced it yet as my student is not yet eligible. I would like to encourage you that if you are interested in having your student attend CCA, you get them started in or before middle school. There is a track (for us it was math) that if they aren't up to the same level, they may not be able to get in due to not offering the class since they do not have the same resources larger schools have. Still, if your child does need extra help, the teachers are dedicated and willing to help during study halls, before or after school. I much appreciate that. Over all, I think this was the best choice for my student. I thank God for CCA staff and the parents/students who go there. Highly Recommend!

This school could be good, but the leadership is more focused on their own interests. There is no interaction or feedback from the administration regarding any concerns of parents or students. The school is closed off from any parent interaction or involvement. Questions regarding classes and learning go unanswered. Social interactions between students in class and activities are very limited. Would not recommend this school to anyone.

Christ Chapel Academy has been a real blessing to our family. We have three children at CCA and we could not love it more. The teachers are passionate about what they do and how they love the Lord. The administration is always open to listen to any concerns we have and issues are addressed immediately. This school is so much more than just a school, it is a community.

Christ Chapel Academy had an initial great presentation. However our experience there was very short lived. This school is very misleading with their title and diversity numbers as well. Our family had a very awful experience with this Christian school. Their diverse representation is definitely due to the diverse population in the local area not their out reach program. They are very strategic with their advertisement. My family and I were treated very dismissive and less than. Also their tuition/books and mandatory fees are very expensive in comparison to other private schools in the area. Christ Chapel will also make you sign a contract for the YEAR for those materials regardless if they are used and no matter how brief your child attends. Don't be fooled those books/materials/trip fees are more than some college fees. We only received 5 small paperback books that were hundreds of dollars and we had to pay after leaving the school after a very short period of time. What's awful about this policy, is that they have a waiting list of children to get into the school. So most likely our child was replaced with another child and that family paid those same fees for the same year. Not the type of business practice I would expect from a Christian school. The schools current leadership presents themselves as elitist and as for profit institution. Lastly, you will not have access to your child's educational environment outside of the initial parent teacher night. You are bussed in daily, signed in and out which comes across initially great for security. However, we found several instances were there what our child was saying, teacher, staff and school head stories did not match up. They don't have cameras (for parents) nor can you come and watch your child's instruction. Again, this school is very expensive not to have those tools. Also be aware the schools handbook is unilateral, meaning you have to adhere to the polices but they don't. Don't be fooled by the location, diversity, nor the title. Do your research there are plenty of great private schools in the area. Sadly, this is not one and we found out the hard way and exposed our kids to an environment that we regret.

First year for our kids at Christ Chapel Academy (lower school) and a few months left to go and we are happy. So far the principles and teachers have done a great job communicating with us and keeping us informed. My children have not complained and just as they come home happy afterschool, they go to school just as happy to attend. I am unsure on how the secondary and upper school function, but I can say that I am very happy with how the lower school works. Covid matters have been handled accordingly and in a very responsible manner. All cases have been reported and they have done a great job explaining the procedures moving forward, being that they are 100% in person learning. The teachers have done a wonderful job being creative in their lessons while keeping social distancing and keeping out kids safe. My kids do not come home sad about having to be a few feet apart from their new friends, or by the fact that they have to wear a mask the whole time, expect for when they eat. I will update my review accordingly, but we are extremely happy that we found this school near us.

This school is average at best. The only reason they are rated best private school in the county is due to brazen pushes for families to vote them so in a yearly survey. My son attended Kindergarten through 4th grade and, with the exception of the first year, it was more of a struggle each year. Very laced teachers who never received training for enhancement any year we attended. COVID-19 proved they woefully inept technologically. They've used the pandemic for capitalizing on public schools going virtual and never even polled parents for input. They've stolen two months of advanced tuition from us and eight other families we know of and refuse to return it. The administration waited until the day the second of those withdrawals took place to release their quite inadequate opening plan. The school is tiny and cannot accommodate CDC guidelines. This is not a Christian school. It is a money game.

Overall this school has been pretty awesome. I feel they address any concerns I may have in a relatively timely manner and my interactions with most have been positive (you know there is always that one...lol) . My daughter is happy and thriving. I am blown away at her knowledge base. I would highly recommend this school.
