San Pasqual Valley Elementary School has a highly trained Staff and an incredible Principal (at this time). The Staff is constantly looking at student data to understand how to better serve the children. Staff get involved with the community by attending the local "grasshopper" league sporting events, pageants, funerals, quincineras, the pow wow, and more. The school has hosted community events such as movie nights, Fall Festival, and the Science Fair, to name a few. Many students are driven and have wonderfully supportive families. Many students struggle and come to school ill-prepared to learn. Some students come to school with such tremendous personal baggage that they simply do not function well in a public school setting. The high rate of turn over in the administrative levels is problematic across the district. The politicizing of schooling does not serve our children. Unless their focus is off of personal power trips and vindictiveness, our children suffer. This school is as great as the student and family make it. This school is as great as the relationship between the family and the teacher. If the teachers and families join ranks, the students will thrive!
