I rate my experience at this school 1 star, none if I could. Both of my sons are failing and have been struggling all year, its now the 3rd semester with no improvement and the teachers are not promptly handling it. I'm having to work full time and go home and teach my kids

Individual teachers are not supported by the administration staff or county/state education to reprimand the bad or reinforce proper actions. Good children are expected to endure or mentor problem children versus staff protecting there learning environments.

Evendale is a school full of staff willing to sacrifice anything and everything to see that each child receives an education that is differentiated and meaningful. The staff tries hard to make a positive impact on all aspects of a student's education; academic, social, and physical. The administration has an excellent balance of warmth and discipline, which is still needed in this day and age. Community and parent involvment is encouraged and welcomed. Parents are, however, encouraged to be responsible for concerns and issues that the school cannot and should not address. If a problem with a student arises it is handled promptly, respectfully, and with a team effort. This school understands that a parent know his/her child best and wants to work with families cooperatively. Teachers work hard to continue their education and apply current, research-based methods in the classrooms. There is not a staff member at this school that does not keep their students on their mind or in their heart each day when they leave to go home. Evendale is a family; staff, administration, and sommunity and students alike.

When the school first started, everyone was excited about the possibilities. However, my child has attend all the years it has been open and I don't think it has gone that great. I feel my child is unprepared for her middle school years. Administration has always handled my problems promptly and with concern. The teachers, on the other hand, have a great deal to learn with communication. I don't find out problems with my children until it's too late. Teachers play favorites with children in the school and if you question them, they become defensive. You better belong to the "click" if you want your child to succeed. One of my children is advanced but they have done nothing to challenge that child. Therefore, my child is bored and starting to dislike school. I look forward to the time when they can move on and find a more supportive educational institution.
