This has been a great experience for us. We moved our daughter from private to public school a few years ago and I cannot say enough good things about the move. While the curriculum is more "prescriptive" than it was in private school the teachers do an amazing job of creating extensions and projects that engage the children. The specialists all really know the kids and do their best to reach them and make them love music, art, pe and library. In addition, the principal knows every student (and siblings that don't even attend Ambrose!) by name and personality. It is a great community.

This is our 6th year (K-5) at Ambrose and we love it! We debated private vs public, but we're very happy with our choice to send our kids here. The teachers and overall education are excellent, the administrative staff very helpful and personable, and there are plenty of extracurriculars to round out the experience. Families are very involved. Since there are five elementary schools in Winchester, each is a nice relatively small neighborhood school. We've had a great experience and highly recommend Ambrose if you're moving to the area!

We've been at Ambrose for 3 years and have been very pleased. The principal is very responsive and caring, and really does know each and every student. The teachers are top quality. We are so happy to be in the Winchester schools!
