The review discussing racism is true. Unless you are raising children of color and have been subjected to disparity of treatment, you would not understand. The pattern and practices of the administration have been and continue to be documented. Many of the staff re great but the administration does target children of color. This was bought to their attention by a staff last January 2021 after a review of the statistics. My hope is that outside agencies will make findings that will prompt changes that will benefit all children. Also, the presumption that some parents do not parent their children is naive, are you raising any children of color?

This school is just fine. This review claiming racism is nonsense. The biggest problem here is that parents don’t take responsibility for the actions of their kids, then get upset when their kids are disciplined. If you actually parent your children and take an active part in their lives and education, they do fine. But if you dump them on an over-taxed staff and a school with limited resources and demand the staff to parent for you, it doesn’t go so well. It’s not a big city school, and it needs better funding, but it’s just fine.

I would not recommend this school to anyone if you are trying to get a decent education. I go to this school and I will confidently say that this school, and this education system is terrible. The district is so understaffed that the science teacher would be teaching social studies! The teachers make simple subjects sound very confusing. One reason why this school is bad is that most of the time the teachers don’t teach, they just use slideshows and make us take notes that us students don’t use. It is clear that “busywork” are the teachers best friend in this school. The teachers don’t even teach you in this school, the daily routine of the teachers “teaching” us is getting a slideshow, doing an interactive notebook, and we do this until class is over. This school is simply a bad school. If you have a child that is going to start school, DONT GO TO WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL.

I am not shocked by the school rating. It is because the previous people in charge (all the way to superintendent) where awful! The new leaders this year care so much more. When you have leaders who care, you will have staff that cares, then kids that care. I expect to see a huge unproven next year! The staff is so caring and wonderful. So many extra things for kids to do. Best part is Monday thru Thursday school week!!! Now if they can just get a after school program it would be perfect!!
