My children have had some wonderful teachers at Willcox High School. They have been involved in many extracurricular activities (music, sports, etc). WHS is a great school!

Overall it was pretty good. There are a variety classes, 13 different sports , and 19 different clubs to choose from. So something for everyone.

As a teacher, I have to point out that many of the comments listed below are dated. I moved here in 2011. Since then, I have seen remarkable changes to life this school up. As a science teacher, in the last 5 years I have had student projects qualify to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair 3 years (4 projects). One of these managed to win a $10,000 per year for four years scholarship to the University of Arizona. Others have won the SARSEF Foundation Scholarship, and won first and second in large regional and even the state science fair (AzSEF). This past summer, 2018, 6 students from WHS traveled to Titusville, Florida to compete in the International Space Settlement Design Competition. They were on the winning team, making big contributions to their project.

Many students have gone through this school and have been very successful both during their time in school and after they have graduated.

Amazing. My students moved from the city that they felt like only a number. Here they know their teachers and all their peers. Very inviting school

I graduated from this school in 2009, after moving from a school in Wisconsin. I found that this school was horrible! Those who were in my classes couldn't even spell correctly. I could tell the student who posted on March 8, 2010 was a graduate from Willcox because of their lack of grammer, let alone all the misspelled words. I find this school to be full of teen-pregnancies, drugs, and teenage violence. The drop out rate of this school is way above average. The school does not even prepare a student for the future, let alone for days after graduation.

I agree with the last student.PROS: Small classes. There are also some teachers that will go out of their way to help out their students, double-credit courses affiliated with cochise college. CONS:The academics aren't as great as they could be,and some of the teachers don't even teach what they majored in.The cafeteria food is also not the very best. The school is high in teen pregnancies, drugs and crime(a cop even works at the campus full time). The school may be great in extra-curriculars such as FFA and football, but it's extremely clique-y.

i dont mean to say that the school is bad or that you child should not go to willcox high they have good teachers and grate sports but its not allways about the teachers or the sports somtimes it is the kids that can make a school bad willcox high is highly involved with drugs, fights distuction of property the list can go on thier are some really bad kids i attend at this school and i see the stuff that can go on out side the class room
