Adding to my previous comment about the principal not following through, here's an example. For the past couple of years the kids voted on putting a friendship bench outside during recess which was a great idea. The purpose of the bench was for kids who were by themselves and had nobody to play with would sit there & someone would ask them to play. Great idea but no action ever happened & still waiting 2 years later. It's really sad because there are kids that want to play with someone, but everyone has there cliques. The problem is its in every grade, but nothing is done to solve it leaving a lot of kids not even wanting to go to recess. I think the principal needs to pay closer attention to this and do something about it, by talking to the kids in all grades.

Very friendly staff and teachers. You feel welcomed in this diversified school. I am surprised to see it being rated as 6, they deserve more.

Awesome school with awesome teachers. My daughter was in this school in 4th and 5th grade. While in 5th grade she had Mr Setaro (hopefully I spelled that right) I never seem my daughter so motivated or willing to learn until she was in Mr. Setaro class. He communicated often and paid attention to all his student, this guy is a model from what teachers should be like. We ended up moving to Texas unfortunately and my daughters new school doesn't even come close to the education and environment she was in Charles Wright. Charles Wright serves as the only reason we would come back to Connecticut. Thank you so much for everything Mr. Setaro and Charles Wright.
