Both my daughters attend this school and they love it. I truly do not understand the rating system because I think this school is amazing. I am originally from Philadelphia, and while this school has the same rating as many of the school districts in Philadelphia, they are light years apart. I would consider this a great school and I am happy to send my children here.

This was an amazing school. My child was special needs and was in a learning disabled class. His reading and math skills soared. The communication between child study team teachers and parents is top notch. I never felt in the dark on anything. The principle seemed to know every child's name and who the parents were. Very welcoming environment. The whole school system is based on a reward system for everything, especially acts of kindness and respect. The isn't just a kindess week, it's all year. Evey month there is a respect / kindness pep rally rewarding the kids for all the kindness they show. So it's just education, it's social awareness and way to treat others. I truly miss our time there, truly was an amazing school with dedicated teachers, and all staff.

My two boys went here for the preschool disability program back in 2008 to 2010. The teachers, aides, Speech therapist, OT therapist and Pre K teacher all worked so well with my boys. The Principal and Guidance Counselor, can't forget the secretaries were all so nice. However in 2010 head of child study decided to say both my boys were no longer disabled. Despite the fact my one son was Autistic and my youngest still could barely speak and still had a gross motor delay. OT retired that year. Speech therapist said she didn't see that coming, the Guidance counselor knew something was wrong with my son due to she called me in. See I got 4 different letters asking me to sign them to close my boys files off to SPAN. I was advised not too.

Fantastic school, kids learn a lot and would recommend to anyone. Many events for parents to come in and get to know the teachers. Some teachers live nearby so you see them at city events. The kids have improved in their writing, reading and math like never before. We made a great decision switching to Parkview.

the teachers were okay. the administrative is a whole other story. Instead of being adults and asking the parents questions about your life they went and asked a 2nd grader student than denied it when was confronted.
