We are only in the preschool program currently, but it has been a great experience for our family.

I can not say enough good things about this school. From the Principal to Mr. Steve to my child’s teacher. They work so hard to make the school successful and engage the kids and parents. We are so grateful to be apart of this school.

My students started preschool at St. Matthew. I have seen St. Matthew put faith in action! St. Matthew withstood a pandemic! My students thrived! My students look forward to going to school and having interactions with their teachers. The teachers and staff genuinely love their students. Class sizes are relatively low. Moreover, it amazes me how much work these teachers are able to cover in class. There are plenty of ways for parents to get involved. No talent required; just willingness and commitment. You become like family. I also believe it is worth mentioning the warm, friendly St. Matthew Lutheran Church that supports St. Matthew School. Membership is not required. Find a service and come on in!

This is by far the best school in the Metro Detroit area. Anyone can come on here and bash a school because they didn't get what they wanted or because schools like St. Matthew hold kids and parents accountable to their actions, but the Boosters (Parent Group), the teachers, and the office staff from Mrs. Tammy to Mr. Burk is by far the best school around. Just ask the parents when you go visit. There is a reason why so many students are 2nd Generation Raiders. If the school was bad, it would be in its 70+ year of education.

My experience was horrible. We left and the kids at that school still bully my daughter. I should have pulled her in second grade when I found out the math program doesn't give children the foundation to learn in highschool.

I have two children and love the choice we made in St. Matthew. The classroom size is appropriate for the children to each have one on one attention to learn more efficiently. The atmosphere is warm and friendly - very family oriented. Not only do the teachers in your childs class have a relationship with your child, but almost everyone around there age group does too!!!! St. Matthew really cares about their children and the teachers love their jobs. They are not there just because its a job like you find in alot of public schools, they are their to build learning relationships. My daughter is so much further ahead of her friends in the neighborhood with reading and math, its unbelievable the difference. Things are structured to create confident students while making them VERY responsible for keeping track of homework and excited to share their work. I could not have made a better decision. :)
