- Submitted by parent on May 22, 2017I would give the overall experience a failing grade. There is zero security. Anyone can walk into the school proper. There is not a double lock entry lobby where a visitor (parent, grandparent, et al) has to be signed in and allowed in through a locked door. The traffic situation for dropping off and picking up students is a huge cluster fiasco. The crossing guard is a joke. West has rightfully earned the reputation of being a fighting school. My child has told me of the fights that take place and they usually involve bully/victim. Amazingly, the bully generally gets off scot free, and the victim pays the price.
- Submitted by student on May 08, 2017My year here was great, but some of the teachers whom I will not name have trouble sending out disruptive students makeing the learning environment difficult and at worst impossible. But most teachers are great and i love the schools attempt to implement cell phones in to the learning environment.
