We are sad to have moved away from this AMAZING school :( it has prices weren’t so high rightnow I would do that 20minute commute! This school is worth it! The teachers care! The administration is so easy to love! PTA goes above and beyond. Such a family friendly environment. My kids have excelled and progressed so well here. Riverside really set the bar high for what we expect from our new school. I really hope to buy a home and move back to Riverside boundaries! Thankyou for being amazing to us!

So many people are afraid of the Title 1 status, but with it comes a lot of great resources. I love that there is so much diversity at this school. We have commuted to Riverside from outside the boundary for 8 years because of the Spanish dual immersion program. My kids have had an amazing experience and are doing so well with the Spanish. I love the office staff and the administrators. The teachers are great and love the students. I am a proud Riverside parent.

I have had three kids attend this school and my last will attend next year. It is a Title 1 school and therefore has many of the same issues all Title 1 schools deal with, but also has extra funding for additional help. My children have always had dedicated and kind teachers who really want each of the kids in their class to succeed. There are still personality differences at times, but we have the same common goal - we want my kids to be successful. I spend hundreds of hours volunteering at the school and see first hand the teachers dedication to their students in helping them understand what is expected to be learned. They introduce different ideas and exercises to help further the learning of those that struggle and those that need an extra challenge. If it isn't as effective as hoped they try again. "Average" test scores are misleading because they don't show the progress made by so many students that are ESL who will eventually come to the level they are expected to be at. I have seen tremendous progress from so many in my children's classes. My children have always been proficient at the skills and subjects taught and tested above many in the state of Utah every year. The principal is very involved and has the perfect personality to manage all of the teachers (they love her) and parents. She is never defensive. She always listens and tries to see the big picture before reacting. Then she takes time to solve the problem effectively and fairly. Anyone can be as successful at this school as any other if your child's environment is a place that encourages them to be a learner.

Some good teachers. But seems to hold back those who could excel to keep them at the level of those struggling.

I have nothing to compare it to, as my children have only ever attended Riverside, but in 7 years and 4 kids we've only had one bad teacher experience. The Spanish immersion program has been an incredible opportunity for my kids, the teachers care enough to spend their own time offering extra programs and the leader in me program has been fantastic. My complaints tend to lie with district policies that the school has no control over.

This school was a horrible experience and declined in each new year that my child attended. Mr. Hanvey the principal is incompetent. Despite reaching out to him on numerous occaions he did not once follow up on the many concerns that I brought to his attention. Mrs. Davis is an awful teacher who does not inspire children to learn and certainly does not help them grow confidence with her yelling. I would highly recommend that you choose an alternate education plan for your child if you can.
