This school isn’t as they sell it. They find out what you are looking for, gear your tour to “sell” that, but don’t deliver. Communication is terrible as well.

Teachers and curriculum are great. Administration and principal are lacking.

The school has been an excellent place for our children to grow academically and socially. It is a caring community where everyone knows everyone else by name...even the 5th grade students know my kindergartner. The students are taught just as much about character and being good citizens as they are about math science and reading. Lessons are hands on and engaging, and they often get outside the classroom to learn in the real world.

The staff is so caring and accommodating. They really treat each student as an individual.

Best School Ever! I have been an educator for over 13 years. As an educator, I was very selective to find a school that had a rigorous curriculum, while still teaching to the whole child. The teachers at this school have gone out of their way to ensure that my son's interests and talents are brought into the learning experience. This school is not just a school, it is a family. As I enter the school I am greeted by numerous adults who have taken the time to get to know my son and I. The older students treat the younger students as siblings and mentees. The school offers many after school clubs right on campus. In addition, the before and after school program allows my son to get out his energy by playing in the gym and outside. The school has many family events to make you part of the Chesterbrook family. Finally, the school uses an APP that allows you to receive photo updates of your child throughout the day. I highly recommend Chesterbrook Academy.

Chesterbrook Elementary School in West Chester, PA is family. Period. They've been so amazing to work with over the years (3rd child in 1st grade, one graduated and is now in high school and one 5th grader in his last year at CBA), whenever there is any concern or desire for discussion and/or feedback concerning the kids. The principal and the teachers all take a very personal stake in raising your kids with you to be strong, confident, empathetic and kind individuals. Academics are creative, advanced and individual in approach and the kids are involved in so many cool projects and initiatives from STEM to technology to public speaking to community service. Just wow. I wouldn't nor couldn't imagine another school quite like ours. I mean, how many 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at other schools know all of the pre-k through 2nd graders by name and play with each other on the playground?! SO lucky to have found this school for our children. They will surely thrive because of their years here.

Both our children attend CBA and its been a great experience for us. Students are learning through individual learning plans, utilizing hands on activities, technology, and field trips. The great teacher to student ratio means each kid gets individual attention. We love the specials (art, music, technology, Spanish, gym), and the school has a great parent/teacher community so there are always ways for families to be involved. Most of all, our children love it.

The teachers are good at teaching, but their financial system is a disaster, it is very easy to mess up your account with someone else's, it takes months to correct simple mistakes. The principal isn't cooperative at all, incompetent, ignoring emails. We ended up filing dispute to reverse the unauthorized charge.

Great teachers and a good after care programs. The teacher student ratio is excellent and your child will get the attention he/she deserves at this school. The only drawback is the school principal is prejudiced but since he does not teach or deal with the child everyday its not a big deal.

We are so sad to be leaving this wonderful school. Our son has been at the elmenarty school since kindergarten and has now finished 4th grade. We would still be going if only there were more children signing up for 5th grade (he was the only one coming back). Our son has a great love of learning thanks to the school. All of the teachers are wonderful and caring. The principle and the assistant principle work with the kids and the parents. Both are very accessible to anyone who needs them. I cried all week after I found out that there wasn't going to be a 5th grade. If you can send you child here I would do it. Compared to other private schools the cost is minimal, but the education and experiance is not. We now have a wonderfully well rounded young man in part to everything that the school does. Keep up the excellent work.
