Run, this school will not do diddly poo about your childs safety (even when a valid claim is made and confimed as valid). Principal is a joke, loves to deflect and share nothing. Will talk a good game, but not even excute what they claim they'll do moving forward. Will literally not separate two children, into separate classrooms, after sexual harassment occurs. I would never recommend this place, and I wish a 0 star option was available.Apparently they will all vacate the school even by 3:50 on the last day of a holiday week and leave you hanging to the following Monday.

I feel so lucky that my kids are attending Walker Elementary. This school is the top performing school in the district and once you observe what happens in this school you will see why. From the personalized learning plans to wonder workshop where kids can learn about things they are passionate about to enrichment programs like the Walker Chorus, art and gym there is so much to keep the kids and families engaged. They have a wonderful PTA that was able to fundraise enough money to buy 3 different pieces of playground equipment. That is just amazing. My family loves this school!

Walker Elementary is the WAWM District's little gem of a school! The student success rate is amazing - as shown by the "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" grade on the 2015-2016 DPI Report Card. The NxGL classrooms are flexible, fun environments that promote learner confidence, personalization, and student voice. The teachers and staff at Walker go above and beyond and really make the school a family environment. Superior school!

Wow! Walker Elementary continues to hit the ever improving mark, and have their eyes on the future!! Walker is a truly unique school, and shows what can happen when teachers, students, parents, and administration come together. Our daughter and son are both Next Generation Learners - taught critical thinking, group dynamics, technology, and goal management. We are truly lucky to be a part of such an amazing school, and our children wake up excited to go to school! Thank you to everyone who makes this possible - keep up the great work and your continued commitment to the success of the future leaders!

I have two boys that are in third grade and k5 and have attended since k4. The teachers are outstanding. I truly am impressed at their dedication and ingenuity. The classroom atmosphere allows the kids freedom of movement which eliminates boredom. It also allows the teachers to deal with the tiny percentage of morons that shouldn't be there in the first place with minor disruption to the rest of the class. (Yeah I said it. Undisciplined brats whose parents spend more time admiring and comparing their tattoos than parenting their children) The staff are trying new teaching techniques and technologies and getting results. School officials from around the world visit the school constantly to see just what really is going on there. The teachers for specials, music gym and art are well accomplished and inventive. I'm jealous when I hear of what they got to do for specials that day. My boys are proud of themselves and proud of their school. I just wish more of the parents felt the same way, instead of complaining that their children are not delivered to them like a pizza after release. Get off your lazy butt and go hug your kids, you haven't seen them all day! Ah West Allis

Love Walker! Our son has thrived since K5! The staff are so dedicated and go above and beyond! The Next Gen. has allowed our son to be placed at levels where he learns best so he can feel confident. The use of technology since K5 has been a blessing that many schools wish they had.

I have no idea how this school has received such high ratings. Their care for children is unacceptable. When children are driven to and from the school, count on them being sent to walk to the car, van or bus by themselves -- unsupervised. The office staff simply takes them to the front door, turns around and goes on about their business. This is heartbreaking, especially for those who have smaller children. Teachers vent openly about parents.. in front of other parents. Some of the teachers appear simply annoyed by children and there is a real inconsistency with how materials are given to children.

Absolutely love this school. We transferred our child mid-year last school year. Best decision ever!

The 'Next Generation' environment is not a good fit for all kids. Seems that if your child doesn't 'thrive' they're labeled. Each child is an individual, but the teachers seem to want them all to be the same. Educators need to open their eyes and help the kids thrive, especially those that need it the most. Watch out if your child is in this type of 'learning' environment.

the teachers, and staff are awesome...the next generation learning environments are really helping my children to excel. There is always something going on through the PTA for families to do, and the afterschool programs are great!

Great progressive school that is now implementing next generation learning. I have a 3rd grader who has thrived in that learning environment. Teachers are amazing and consistently go above and beyond. My daughter starts kindergarten there in the fall and I couldn't be happier.

We love Walker ! We did a lot of school research and decided on Walker. The teachers, staff, PTA and parent involvement are all amazing. They are very progressive in their teaching methods and technology. The class sizes are small and they still offer all the "specials" like art, music and more. We couldn't be happier.
