  My children have been at this school since it opened. The school bus is a nightmare, due to a shortage of drivers mean, berating people who scream at children and leave them at school or the bus stop are allowed to continue with nothing more than “a talking to”. They have lost my kindergartener- I had to call when she didn’t get off the bus and they said “oh well she must not have heard the call”; after finally locating her IN THE OFFICE, after school had been out for AN HOUR AND A HALF (they are on the bus for most of that time). We have had two good teachers we actually felt like cared about students. In emergencies like lock downs we are informed WAY after the incident. If students have a chronic cough they are sent home for being “disruptive” even if they have a doctors note proving they are no longer contagious. IEP and 504 accommodations are like pulling teeth. You have to fight and advocate extremely hard to get disabled students the help they need. It took an entire year to get my ADHD child any support and my autoimmune child is still being told “oh well maybe we can see about helping him”. The principle will ignore your phone calls and emails and lie to your face. Even the people I’ve spoken to when trying to get a job here told me the staff is “catty” and most people don’t like working there. I’m not trying to be that parent, but after being here for 5yrs with multiple students (some without any disabilities if that matters to anyone) this school is failing my children. Teachers and staff also play favorites and yes I am worried about retaliation after this review is seen. My kids come home with tears almost every week if not multiple days and beg me not to make them go back. Something is going horribly wrong at this school and I know I am not alone in that after speaking to several other parents of students here. I would not recommend this school if you can avoid it unfortunately there is no open enrollment in this state so if you live by it it’s what you have to do. I’m sure there’s a lot I’m forgetting (like I said there have been SO MANY incidents) but these are the bigs ones. ...More Reviews
