Unless your family has been here since the town was founded, don't send your kids here. If you're not related, your child will be treated differently. The education is severely lacking with the majority of 4th graders being unable to read. Bullying runs rampant. Teachers and staff are on a power trip and will bully children to fuel their ego. Safety is of no concern. The secretary attempted to give me the wrong child whenever I went to pick my child up from school early one day. When it comes to the pickup line, as long as you have a name, they'll put that child in your vehicle with no identification required.

I have had better experiences at other schools. This school just pushes kids with disabilities through.

They are terrible. They do not have enough resources for special education children. They don’t follow behavior plans or IEPs. I spoke with his teacher today, 6 months after school has been in session, she has never read the behavior plan nor IEP. I don’t understand how you can effectively meet the child’s needs if you haven’t read their special education folder. They insist it’s defiance and the lack of ADHD medication. I’m highly disappointed in this school and would NOT recommend them. If you want your child to succeed and have a wonderful relationship with parents and teachers, but has needs that are out of that child’s control, DO NOT place them here. It’s a sad day in education when the teacher has no clue what the IEP states but wants to deny the numerous medical diagnosis from the doctors and assume your kid is just a brat and defiant.

This is the only year my children would be affected. I will be getting a special transfer and I will drive my children back to Horace Mann which is an amazing school they are organized they take care of their children they do not allow Bullying, they have a no tolerance policy. They do not blame other schools for why they cannot get the paperwork in order the enrollment packet I received this year we’re not even right.
