This is an amazing school to be a teacher at! With a strong leadership focus and happy staff members, Weaverville Elementary is without question my favorite school that I have taught at. Students set goals and are academically encouraged while being in a loving and caring environment.

The staff seems indifferent and completely disengaged in their duties.

Do not let the test scores fool you. The quality of this school is first rate. My opinion is the test scores are a little lower due to a quite high concentration of ESL (English as a second language) students who may not have had some of the same advantages or home support of other students. This is a well run school. My children who attend have made ample progress academically. The school offers numerous extra curricular programs after school for further enrichment. I would not hesitate to recommend WES to any parent. It is a well rounded school with a caring, very engaged staff.

The new principal seems fully engaged and excited about the new Leader In Me program. I am so thankful and impressed that the school moved forward with implementing this wonderful program for kids at this age. I have already seen the results in my own daughter, second grader, and can only imagine what go getters this program will produce for our community!

The new principal seems quite dedicated and hands on. So far, our experience with the school has been positive. One outstanding thing we are thrilled about are the extra curricular activities offered. The school we came from did NOT offer NEARLY the number of options this school does. Academically it seems solid. They do not overdo homework. The teachers also seem to care. Very good little school if you ask me.

Weaverville Elementary School is proving itself to be just as great as everyone in our family who has had children who have gone here in years past told us it was. We are finding the teacher, Office Staff, Principal, and general school personnel to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and always eager to listen and help or offer assistance in whatever way possible.
