I'm so glad my child graduates this year and will have this school behind him. There are a few really great teachers that I appreciate so much, but overall it's been a bad experience. Which is reflected in the fact that it's rated the worst school in the system. If your child isn't the star athlete on the team and they are bullied, just go ahead and expect for you and their concerns to be dismissed. Winning is all that matters, not molding these young people into decent humans. There's so much drama going on in the staff it's no wonder some of them can't effectively teach or keep things organized. Dates and deadlines constantly change with zero notification to parents of these changes. Weaver High School needs an almost complete overhaul. You can dress the building up, but if the people inside don't have it together then the change is meaningless.

Very heavy about sports and that’s all they care about. The students who are in seasoned sports get more attention than average students. Bullying is another thing. Too much of it. Students are afraid to tell their authoritive figures because they don’t seem welcoming or they don’t understand. Last thing, just like many other schools, the dress code is out of hand. People are different shapes and sizes and the same clothing will look different on all of them. If it’s hot outside, I’m going to wear shorts.

Weaver High School is a Wonderful School. The Guidance Counselors, teachers and Principals are Awesome! The staff works very hard to identify those students whose performance indicates they need help and ensure these students have the tools they need to get back on task. One of the areas Weaver High could improve increase creative ways to develop money for the school.

I was a long term substitute at WHS. I absolutely loved it!!!! The students wanted to learn. I had absolutely no discipline problems. The principal, Mrs. Shipp, is amazing! She keeps those kids under control and is very well respected. The teachers challenge their students. They prepare them for college. Weaver High School is an ideal school to teach at and for students to attend.
