I had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE at Chain O' Lakes Elementary School . I was greeted warmly, treated with respect, admired the students' self-discipline and respect for one another, had a great conversation w/the Principal Rhonda Hare and Bonnie in Food Services. The school was clean, colorful and happy!

I'm very unhappy with this school. I bought a ton of supplies at the beginning of the year and before the year was even half way through they were already asking for more. They are always asking for money for some kind of fundrasier, shirt, book, snack ect. for christmas instead of them exchanging names and buying one gift they had to buy one for every kid in the class, which is 13, and then pass them out. If my child forgot his hat or snowpants on the bus on the way to school they would still have him go outside in the cold but he had to stay on the black top. They send homework home and about 95% of the time they send no instrustion for the parent to know what to do. My son went here just for K and i'm moving him out of this school distict this summer to a school that has more respect for the kids and their parents.

This school has grades k-1-2 .The school does not take the parents or children into mind and parents are often talked down to. Lunch room lights are turned off if the children are talking. Parents are advised that the children are sent outside to play regardless of wind chill or approporate gear. This teachers here suceed despite of the leadership. It seems the parents are supplying the classroom--we sent 5 large glue sticks at the beginning of the school year and by October was told they needed more!. We have had a very disappointing experience with this school and are not given the choice to change to WLC because they claim we live closer to the this location-- a rule that seems to be flexible only when it accomodates them.
