There is some bullying and swearing and talking behind other peoples backs but other than that I totally recommend this school for anyone

This school has only has two things going for it - diversity and the dual language program. So if you only care about those and nothing else - this is a great school for you. Our children are just sat in front of iPads for a good portion of the day and then the teachers are disappointed in their unwillingness to get off the iPads and engage in regular classroom activities. It’s no wonder there are behavior and test score issues at this school. Perhaps your child is fine with regulating and learning despite the high screen time so that factor doesn’t dissuade you from attending this school, but there aren’t many other opportunities here either. While other district students have opportunities like athletic partnership programs, educational visits from community resources (like the humane society), student and parent engagement activities, and even field trips - students at Banting are lucky to have a book fair and an annual trip to the local nature center. Because private education is unreachable for the middle class and our state government and the district has made “school choice” a low odds lottery, we are now in a position of having to sell our dream home just to get our children a decent education. Spare yourself the stress and heartache. Just stay out of Waukesha - go to one of the better districts that encircle it. If you can’t stay out of Waukesha, then send your children to Rose Glen or Summit View so they at least have a chance.

We have had a very positive experience at the school in the 2 years my daughter has been at the school. My daughter and I have loved her teachers. They have all been her favorite! Great school, and very diverse.

The staff and parents are fully engaged with the children. My son absolutely loves the school, the teachers, and the rest of the staff. Great involvement and awesome activities are put on by the PTO. Lots of great fundraisers and opportunities for the students and parents to really be involved with their children and the teachers. It is hard sometimes to still find teachers that truly care about the students and their future, this is something I have seen displayed in everyone that I have encountered at Banting. I could not ask for a better school for my children!

Great communication. Our principal and teachers create a real sense of community. We have our "Banting Family" and everyone feels that they belong there and have something to contribute to our school's well-being. We can't say enough about the wonderful education our daughter is receiving - academically, socially, and emotionally.

Banting is a very well rounded school that shows a genuine care for each individual child. I have had 2 children at Banting and both of them had memorable and outstanding teachers!
