My children have been supported by excellent teachers all through their academic career at Linscott. The teachers teach the whole child, both academically and socially. The curriculum is both rigorous, and hands-on. The school encourages parent support in class and on the board. With a focus on parent involvement and outdoor education, the students get out into the community often for real life learning.

It’s all political. The principal reports to the parent board and their all bff’s. The principal wouldn’t correct a teacher if you paid her. No one reports to the school district. If your child is not a superstar, you may get a chance to be hazed by a teacher and the principal. Then, there’s no one to help you/share your concerns because again, they’re all bff’s.

Excellent public education despite the dwindling available public funds. Parents make up the difference, helping in the classroom and at the school so that teachers may focus on teaching. Great test scores are achieved WITHOUT teaching to the test. Kids learn in creative and interest-building ways in a very supportive environment. Fantastic community in a small school where it's possible to know just about everyone, kids and their families. An absolute gem of a school.
